What's New in WorkOutDoors

6.4

June 26, 2026

This is a bug fix version which addresses a few issues in the last version. Most notably the inability to set up a connection with Strava is now fixed. If you are having problems with the action button on the Ultra then please reboot the watch because that often fixes any issues with it. Note: this version requires watchOS 9.2, which means that it will no longer run on the old series 3 watches which were released back in 2017. Sorry about that. It was a necessary restriction in order to work around an issue in recent versions of watchOS.

Such a great app

A great app with a huge amount of customisation and great support. I got it for trail running with a map, and it works perfectly with so many added benefits.

The best app

Best workout app on the market, hands down. I would think it would clue in on when the workout is over !!! Sat on a charging and calculated a 8 hour overnight workout becuase I forgot to end the workout! Apple native app at least ask me if the workout is ended when I’m not doing anything

Versatile and powerful

I was going to return my AW Ultra 3 until I found this app. It offers the kind of versatile, customizable tracking for a full range of outdoor activities. The app remedies some of the shortcomings of Apple Watch by providing the kind of powerful, customizable outdoor tracking that should be standard. Thank you.

Best running app

I love that I can set up intervals in the app for running. It’s mostly intuitive and you can get pretty granular with your targets, etc. The best part though is the ability to set the cadence for voice notifications. I never have to look at my watch. I can set it to tell me when a new interval starts, what my targets are, and my current metrics. Bonus: it never cuts off my music. It fades it back, tells me the info I’ve asked it for, and then fades my music back up. The post workout analysis is rich and helpful for planning your next workout and refining/updating your targets.

It’s almost like I have my running coach from high school on my wrist and in my ear.

Excellent App for anyone who wants specific data

I’ve been using for a little over a week. The customer data views, screen setups, and export settings make it much easier that rivals to use my own training data in a way that is helpful for me. Good data visualization (graphs, charts, mapping). Small errors (not connecting to Strava) were fixed rapidly with a bug fix update. 10/10.
