Top reviews

It reboots too often

Great app, but it reboots too often. The worst part is that it takes at least 30 seconds every time and this is an app that I use all day every day so that is a real pain.

Interstate Service and Restoration.

Very Helpful and Professional.

Poor optimization

The app takes far too long to load while on site with the insured. The app force quits and has to restart if my phone locks. Makes some features almost unusable on site. The photo labeling is terrible and not worth the extra money.

Slow at best

It feels like with every update the app gets less responsive. It takes forever for the data to sync with the cloud (yes, even with a strong WiFi connection), and heaven forbid your login times out and you have to sign back in. After this most recent update my app won’t even open.

The actual app use itself is…okay. The sketching is difficult to do anything more than drop a room in and the estimate writing is not fluid. If you’re doing a claim with any complexity the app is not going to serve you well.

For the most part I only utilize the app to upload pictures directly into a claim, which is a small time saver.

Horrible company ran by insurance companies

Horrible company owned by insurance companies working together to take advantage of the contractor. Stay away from

Poor quality

Takes too long to open up and frequently crashes

Lose internet? Lose all your work

If you have any interruptions to your cellular service. Say goodbye to all your work photos and sketch. App takes forever to load. Expect to stand around waiting for the app to finally load so then you can do your job.

Timely uploads

The sync times for the app and the cloud are very slow. Repetitive cues that connection has timed out make it very tedious to get projects uploaded.

One star for a reason.

The system asked when lugging in if I could review this product.

I have no options in my line of work to use another estimating app/service. The problems that are encountered on this system for the over 3k per year cost is deplorable. However, they have a monopoly on it. So… here we are. Enjoy your app. It’s all your offered. Unless you’re working with a carrier that uses symbility. Which you probably don’t.

Great applications but sometimes quirky

Easy to use

Mobile app is excellent. Signing on every time is a little hassle.

Corrupt Photos

Several times I’ve experienced corrupted photos once returning home after an inspection. I’ve had to start using my phones native camera app and then upload them via computer at home. Incredibly frustrating when you schedule, drive to and complete inspections to come home and find your photos are corrupted from within the app. And they charge over $300/month for the subscription.

Slow loading

Overall, it’s a helpful app, but it drives me absolutely nuts that it shuts down randomly, and then it takes so long to load. Take several minutes while I’m on site sometimes. Drives me bonkers.

Estimator

Good program , I love it , just wish it had more tutorials on very deferential roofs to watch other then that this program is awesome, I understand that I am new and learning as I go , this program has a lot and I’m learning with it to.

Turned to Scamming

Last time I ordered a 3 months was online through their old system. They changed systems and looped me into a renewal I never agreed to and charged another $900 for a period I didn’t agree to or log in once. No invoices mention a renewal agreement and they can’t show me where I agreed to it. Sad they treat long time customers like that.

Horrible after update.

Always been buggy, but the 2 factor authentication is obnoxious. It doesn’t remember devices and if there is an issue with the email server you can’t login.

Adjuster

This has to be the greatest breakthrough in claim handling history. Pretty easy to use and you can increase your claims cycle time. It is truly a game changer that Xactimate is consistently improving to meet adjusters needs. I cannot express how awesome it is but something you need to try for yourself. Ar sketch will have u leaving the tape measure and notebook in the car. Don’t take my word for it and try it for yourself.

Overpriced, glitchy, and outdated – avoid if possible

I’ve been using Xactimate and honestly can’t understand how they get away with charging $300/month for software that barely works. Certain features only work depending on the device you’re using. They say you should use an Apple device for sketches, but then you need a Microsoft device to work on the desktop version. The Apple app doesn’t even have the same features as the desktop, so you’re constantly switching devices to complete a simple estimate.

The sketch portion alone will make you pull your hair out. You’ll find yourself redoing the sketch 800 times because of glitches and issues with their software. And to add insult to injury, if you need technical support to fix their problems, they charge you for that too. They literally charge for everything and anything.

When you ask them what to do about the endless sketch issues, their solution is to tell you to use a third-party service – which costs even more money. There is zero real support and zero practical training. They just offer some prerecorded videos that don’t actually help.

If you can avoid using this software, I highly recommend it. It’s a shame that with today’s technology they can’t create a program that runs seamlessly on a single device, yet they gouge customers because they hold the market hostage due to lack of competition. Someone needs to come up with software that puts this outdated technology to shame.
