YMHA Rockaways is a well kept gym offering so many options for Seniors, too, to avail themselves of. The staff I have encountered, like Henry and Meghan and others have been quite helpful and take the time to assist. This place is.a must to help keepyou monvinn be g and active on your own level.
Not the same
Ever since covid the YMCA has not been the same, less classes and times. There is always a teacher calling in so you get someone else.

I think the whole East village and Chinatown is gonna get into great shape! I don’t know how they’ve set up all these beautiful studios. It’s just incredible -and remember when you go to a Y in New York City. You’re gonna get great teachers dancers, professional athletes, all trained, and certified! THATS who will be working with you. We are very lucky in the East village and Chinatown to have such great equipment and great people working with us!

Can’t purchase training. Group fitness classes don’t add you to a waitlist que, forcing you to rebook over and over
Programs for seniors
We need more exercise programs for seniors. The seniors at this Y are loyal and dedicated and deserve more attention to their needs. The temperature in the gym is mostly too hot or too cold - please attend to this issue.

It is intuitive. The program has started. I feel related to the apps works and it’s AI‘s anticipation of my activities. I started it just now, but I but I am gratified with it
