Flawless performance
I’m not sure what all the negative buzz is about. It’s pretty simple. Turn on the grill click the pair button in the app. Add your WiFi network name and password in the app. Then connect your grill to the WiFi network from the grill itself. That’s it. Takes about 2 minutes and off you go. I’ve watched it for 30 minutes straight and the temp on the probes and the grill itself are reflected in the app instantly. The alarms I’ve set also work immediately. This app is perfect. It even has cheat sheets to remember your internal target temps and tons of recipes etc. I can’t say enough good things about the grill AND the app.

Connectivity
Wish this app can stay connected like Traeger, I can stay connected anywhere because it is connected over the internet to you phone. Like I had to go to store and still monitor.
The issue is 2.0 and 3.0 apps suck even when connected and in the house. It never stays connected. Have to restart app to see updates

Good Feature when working
Great feature of being able to watch and control my grill when I am not right beside it. Normally it will connect but rarely does it stay connected. I usually close the app, restart and then reconnect. Adjusting the temperature or shutting down works well.
Worst Apps I’ve ever experienced.
The original app only ever worked once and then wouldn’t connect to my grill. The 2.0 app connected to the grill and worked great for one use. Next time I went to use it, the app said I had no devices on my account. Logged out to see if logging back in would help. Now I can’t log into the app. Just a brief spinning circle. Same result trying to reset my password or even trying to create a new account all together. Uninstalling and reinstalling the app does nothing. Complete garbage. I should’ve just bought a cheaper grill or a different brand.

App is useless garbage
I have had nothing but problems with my grill this morning including the app. This is the second time I’ve tried to use it since I got it a week ago. Grill temps are uncontrollable. The app won’t let me connect to wifi. Deleted the app and downloaded again. Now I can’t log in with my account. The forgot password button doesn’t work. I tried creating a new account and that button doesn’t work. I am beginning to regret buying this grill. The WiFi capability is one of the reasons why I bought the grill. It’s an upgrade from my last one. Unfortunately, it’s already failing. Very disappointed with this product so far.

Worst app I have ever encountered
I have been a customer of Zgrills for a couple of years now and I love the grills themselves, but the app is trash. The original app was pretty basic but at least it worked. This new 2.0 app is by far the worst piece of trash I have ever tried to use. You can’t even log into it. The real shame is that they forced everyone to go to this 2.0 app and now I can’t control or monitor my Zgrill online. Unfortunately Zgrills has lost a customer as I now have to pay the premium for Traeger.

Not a good app.
I was completely hooked up when I bought the grill. I trued to use it on Thanksgiving and it was disconnected. I tried to reconnect, It logged me out and the log in screen is the last screen I can get to.
I agreed to the terms, uninstalled, re-installed, restarted. Every troubleshooting option possible. It will not work. Come on Z Grills! Do better!

App does not login
I had my grill for about 3 years and the app never works. They switched to this 2.0 app and it logged in and connected immediately! Awesome…but I got a new phone and went to login…and the app doesn’t work. It opens and lets me type in my email and password, but then does nothing. I press login and there’s a short spinning wheel for half a second and then it goes away and does nothing. I’ve deleted and redownloaded the app. Made sure I’m on 2.4 WiFi. Everything they recommend. Fortunately the grill still works without it, but man is it frustrating buying something with a WiFi feature and that feature doesn’t work. Also, customer support never responds for help.

Useless
This app is absolutely useless. My grill for some reason was disconnected from the app after having been connected for almost 2 years. Even when it was connected the information that was displayed was always wrong. Now that I have to reconnect it to the app I can’t even login
App Signup Horrible
Nothing like firing your new grill up Thanksgiving day to have the app sign up not work. Truly frustrating.
Zgrill 2.0
Just bought this grill and use it one time now the app doesn’t connect like it supposed to and when you log out you can’t even log back in. How crazy is that. I agree to what the other people say improve the app.
Terrible
This app started off great. Then it fell apart today. It wouldn’t connect to my pellet grill. I tried resetting the password and it wouldn’t let me do that. I tried to start a new account and it wouldn’t let me. I have copper fioptics Internet, and it’s saying my connection is too slow. Nothing works.

Don’t buy for the app
The grill is great but don’t plan on using the app to control the grill. It’s a 25% chance you will get the grill to sync. And when you do, it’s 15 minutes of fooling around with your phone and the grill. It’s nice when it works but it’s a hit or miss. I don’t understand why it’s so difficult to get the bugs worked out. ZGrill has had plenty of time to figure this out. I just use WiFi thermometers to monitor temperatures.

No way to search recipes, can’t go back to the last page without going back to home . Definitely needs improvement.
Set up is aweful and app is buggy
This app needs a lot of work and attention to detail to fix all the querks and bugs. The UI really needs to be redesigned to make it truly useful and easy to use without frustration. Right now it's a necessary evil for wifi enabled zgrills.
Decent, needs work
The app setup is a complete joke. It took nearly 2 days to figure out the tricks to get it to connect and multiple calls to support. Once setup, it works fine and I can control the grill from anywhere, including away from home. My main feedback is to allow the temp alarm to be set below 160. That is the highest alarm notification you can create. The grill is amazing, but the app needs support.

Needs to support controller that isn’t connected to home network.
Grill is great and I like everything about it except that I have to be on my home network to control grill via wifi. Seems kinda pointless to get wifi compatible grill. If I only get a little bit more range than Bluetooth
To Many Adds
I thought after buying the grill there would be an add free version. Maybe if there weren’t so many adds the app would not crash all the time. When you look at a recipe there is no back button. You have to kill the app and start over again. When it comes to monitoring the grill I would give it 4 stars just because it crashes at least once or twice per smoke.

Super convenient
Super convenient for managing temperature and timing. Sometimes there’s a slight delay when making adjustments, but nothing major. Definitely worth using if you like to slow cook.
The interface is really impressive
Being able to control everything from a distance is a game-changer. No more running back and forth—just sit back, relax, and let the grill do the work! Sometimes the connection takes a second to update, but overall, it’s fantastic.
