Broken app
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. We'd like to get you unblocked, account creation failures could have a few different causes, and knowing where it stops for you (whether it's an error message, a screen that won't advance, or a verification email that never arrives) would let us pinpoint it. Contact us at support@zonos.com and we'll help get you shipping.
Terrible
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. The AI item identification is a starting point, not the final word, you can edit any auto-filled field before continuing, and manual entry is available on the same screen as the photo option if you'd rather skip photos entirely. We're looking into the ability to save progress so an interruption doesn't mean starting over, and we appreciate you flagging it. On data handling, our privacy policy at zonos.com describes what we collect and how it's stored, and shipment data is required by US customs for import processing.
Folks just mad, app very usable
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback, and we're glad the app won you over. Going from a counter interaction to an app is definitely a change, so hearing the flow felt easy and quick is exactly what we're aiming for. We're here at support@zonos.com if you ever need anything. We appreciate your kind words!!
Disappointed.
What a scam
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. Some US territories, like Guam and the US Virgin Islands, sit outside the US customs territory, so shipments from those territories to the mainland are treated as imports under US customs regulations, even though no international border is crossed in the everyday sense. That's why the app applies here. Our processing fee covers guaranteeing and remitting duties to US customs upfront. The requirement of prepaid duties on postal shipments itself comes from US customs rules (as of August 2025), not from Zonos or USPS.
Was forced to use EMS
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. The photo capture step is required within the app's flow for Japan Post shipments, but the auto-filled details it produces, including weight, are not final. You can always edit those fields yourself before continuing, so if the estimated weight came out higher than your scale shows, you can correct it to the actual weight. Based on what you've described, it sounds like the editing option wasn't easy to find, and we'd like to help with that. If you contact us at support@zonos.com, we can walk you through editing the auto-filled fields, and if this doesn't match what you experienced, let us know the details and we'll investigate.
Awful
Response from developer
The US removed the de minimis exemption, which means duties now have to be prepaid on postal shipments to the US. Canada Post uses this app so those shipments can keep moving without disruption. The requirement comes from US customs regulations, not from Canada Post or Zonos, and we understand it adds a step that didn't exist before. If you ran into specific problems with the app itself, we'd like to hear about them at support@zonos.com as we are always looking to improve the experience.
保存機能
まず保存機能がないので何個も読み込んで繰り返したのに途中で止まる。保存出来ず、そこまでで一旦関税払おうとしたのに進まない。 死亡。 PCのウェブ版でも同じ。
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. We apologize for the inconvenience of the app stopping mid-entry, your progress not being saved, and being unable to proceed to duty payment. We'd like to investigate so we can apply a fix. Please contact us at support@zonos.com and we'll help. We are also looking at adding a save function. Right now our top priority is being ready for the October 22 regulatory changes so shipments can keep moving, but we recognize how important it is to be able to save progress and appreciate your feedback.
Garbage App
Expensive and Sketchy
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. Location access is optional, you can decline it and the app works the same; accepting it only defaults your postal carrier for convenience, but it is not required. Our fees are per shipment with no subscription, and they're shown in full before you pay. They don't just process the paperwork, but also guarantee the duty amount paid so you and your recipient don't have to pay anything more, even when tariff rates change. We're here to help at support@zonos.com.
This is impossible
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. Duty amounts can vary between shipments because they're calculated from each shipment's details, and the Duty breakdown view shows exactly which tariffs apply and how the total was calculated. Our fees are shown in full before you pay. If something looks wrong on a specific shipment, we're here to help at support@zonos.com.
Response from developer
Thank you for the detailed feedback. On the photo requirement: photo capture is a requirement Japan Post set within the app flow, so it can't be turned off, but every auto-filled field can be edited after the photo is taken. If a field comes back wrong, you can correct it directly rather than starting over, and we're happy to walk you through that at support@zonos.com. On going back to a previous screen: once duties are calculated, we intentionally lock editing for that shipment to avoid gaming undercollection. However, we are looking at ways to make it easier to make edits before calculating duties, such as saving your progress along the way up until the duty calculation. Saving destination addresses is a fair request, and repeat shippers shouldn't have to re-enter the same recipient every time. It's the kind of friction we're working to reduce. We know the app adds steps to a process that used to be simpler. Feedback this specific helps us prioritize, so thank you for taking the time to write it up.
Unreliable
Response from developer
Hi Lopiken, when you ship something that is duty-free, there can still be a processing/clearance fee. This is always clearly shown before you click the "Pay" button (it's in the summary with the total duty cost, total fee cost, and the total cost, which is directly above the "Pay" button. The "Pay" button also includes the total you are paying). It will be clear anytime you make a payment, exactly how much you are being charged, before you enter your payment information. Duty payments made in the Zonos Prepay app are guaranteed (this is another reason for the fee—even on duty-free shipments, if something changes between when you pay and when we are billed, and duties become due, we pay that ourselves).

hank you for the feedback. Auto-filled fields can always be edited before payment, and we'd like to look at what caused the crashes that kept you from doing that. The Duty breakdown view shows exactly which tariffs applied and how your total was calculated. We're here to help at support@zonos.com.

Difficult to set up.
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. Setup should be a one-pass process, and we'd like to figure out what caused the freezing. We're glad it went through on the third try, and if the app gives you any more trouble, we're here to help at support@zonos.com.
Very bad
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. Manually entered HS codes do need to follow the standard format so customs will accept them, though based on what you've described, the classification step should be handling slow responses better than it did for you. We'd like to look at what happened, we're here to help at support@zonos.com.
Orange man make tariffs
A joke.
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. The duties themselves are set by US customs policy and are calculated from the item details you enter. Tapping "Duty breakdown" in the app shows exactly which tariffs apply and the formula behind the total, so you can see how the amount was reached. Worth knowing, carriers that don't collect duties upfront don't make them go away, the recipient is often billed on delivery instead. Commercial carriers aren't required to have duties prepaid the way that postal carriers are (into the US) - that just means that the recipient would have to pay it during delivery. If anything in your quote looked off, we're here to help at support@zonos.com.
Not working after update. Unknown errors
Response from developer
Thank you for the feedback. Are you still seeing the error when adding an item? If so, we'd like to get you shipping again, we're here to help at support@zonos.com.
