Verdict
The clearest difference is monetization model: Wetherspoon at free against Bubble CiTea's free with in-app purchases. Wetherspoon also leads on ratings volume (11K vs 1) and review sentiment (50% vs 31%). Bubble CiTea's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Bubble CiTea holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Wetherspoon has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Wetherspoon's written reviews are positive against 31% of Bubble CiTea's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Wetherspoon ships an update monthly, Bubble CiTea every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
