To update the status or change assignments, just drag and drop tasks between columns. -- Visibility -- The My Tasks view provides a comprehensive list of all your tasks and their status across all your plans. When working together on a plan, team members always know who is working on what. -- Collaborate -- Built for Office 365, Planner lets you work together on the same tasks, attach captured photos directly to them, and even have conversations around tasks without switching between apps. ContriApp is the world first application using Bluetooth® protocol being able to read and write parameters of a safety light curtains. It is intended for use with safety light curtains from Contrinex and is the tool to change the parameters of the device. It can also read diagnostic data and can be used as a maintenance tool. ContriApp targets users who need to configure the light curtain for installation (initial setup and configuration) or need relevant information on the current status and operation of the light curtain (maintenance, analysis, etc.). The application can be used in different modes (observer, maintenance or specialist), thus enabling different views and accesses to the light curtain. In observer mode, parameters can only be read and no change can be done. In specialist and maintenance modes, the user can access part or all of the parameters for read and write function. Those modes are protected by a password to allow the right users for access. A subset of these parameters is presented below : BEAM CODING Beam coding can be used to prevent cross talk between one pair of light curtains and another mounted in close proximity. It is important to set the same beam code for the sender and the receiver. An LED indicator on each light curtain shows which beam code is selected. Three different codes can be selected through the application. (BC_1) EDM (EXTERNAL DEVICE MONITORING) EDM is the abbreviation of External Device Monitoring. This function allows the user to enable or disable EDM functionalities on the light curtain. (disabled) START OPTION Tap here to select a manual or automatic start for the light curtain. Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ContriApp at 100% against Microsoft Planner's 29%. ContriApp also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (10.3 vs 17.0). Microsoft Planner's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (13K vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Microsoft Planner holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Planner has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 29% of Microsoft Planner's written reviews are positive against 100% of ContriApp's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Microsoft Planner ships an update every 6 weeks, ContriApp every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
