Stay productive and focused without forgetting about your health and ergonomics! With Ergo Focus you are able to create customizable timers so you are easily reminded to take breaks while you work so your brain gets the much deserved rest it needs, but that's not enough, what about your body! Working long hours at a desk can take a toll on your body just as much as it can on your head. Especially true if you're working from home and don't have anywhere else to be but at your desk, it's important to go through different working positions throughout the day so you don't end up sitting in the exact same spot for multiple hours. With Ergo Focus you can set yourself clear timed reminders to alternate between different positions throughout the day as you work, and not only when you take a break. Whether it's with a standing desk, or simply by standing up with your laptop at an elevated counter for a little while, you'll drastically cut down on the amount of time you stay in the same position in a day. Building habits like this will greatly reduce the negative effects of sitting at a desk while working all day. To help you, Ergo Focus allows you to set up customizable work sessions so you can plan your whole work day or study session ahead and have Ergo Focus guide you through it. Have different needs for different types of work? No problem, save as many of you favourite work sessions as you want and use them when they fit your needs the best. For you night owls or for those long cram sessions and study time at night, dark mode let's you keep working with your study timer without feeling like you're looking directly at the sun!

Verdict
The clearest difference is review sentiment: Flow at 86% against Ergo Focus's 50%. Flow also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 1) and device support (5 vs 3). Ergo Focus's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.
Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. Flow sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Ergo Focus sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
Ergo Focus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flow has 1.8K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of Flow's written reviews are positive against 50% of Ergo Focus's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Flow ships an update every 4 weeks, Ergo Focus weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
