Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: CIBC Mobile Banking at 3.8 against Digital Token's 2.0. CIBC Mobile Banking also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 4 months) and ratings volume (369 vs 13). Digital Token's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
CIBC Mobile Banking holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CIBC Mobile Banking has 369 ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 18% of CIBC Mobile Banking's written reviews are positive against 25% of Digital Token's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
CIBC Mobile Banking ships an update fortnightly, Digital Token every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
