Verdict

The call

The clearest difference is monetization model: Facility Issue Reporting at free against Q's free with in-app purchases. Facility Issue Reporting also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months) and ratings volume (190 vs 53). Q's advantage is rating (3.0 vs 2.8) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ReceptionRating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings

Q holds the better App Store score, 3.0 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 53 and 190 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Q's written reviews are positive against 19% of Facility Issue Reporting's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

UpkeepUpdate frequency

Q ships an update every 3 months, Facility Issue Reporting every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on August 15, 2026 and September 9, 2026 respectively.
