Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: eSecure 2.0 at 4.6 against QVR Pro Client's 2.7. eSecure 2.0 also leads on ratings volume (7.6K vs 47) and device support (5 vs 3). QVR Pro Client's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
eSecure 2.0 holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: eSecure 2.0 has 7.6K ratings behind it against 47, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of eSecure 2.0's written reviews are positive against 35% of QVR Pro Client's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
eSecure 2.0 ships an update every 6 weeks, QVR Pro Client every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
