Nurse Pay

Know what the night is worth — before you work it. Nurse Pay turns any shift into a number: base pay, differentials, overtime, double time, holiday premium, and your real hourly rate. WHY IT EXISTS You are not paid one rate. You are paid a base rate, plus differentials that only apply to certain hours, plus overtime that depends on where the shift falls in your workweek — and for travel nurses, a low taxable rate wrapped in large untaxed stipends. The result is that most nurses cannot say what a shift will pay before they work it, or which of two contracts is actually worth more. Nurse Pay answers both questions. CALCULATE A SHIFT Enter the shift once and see the money broken out line by line: • Base hourly pay • Night, evening and weekend differentials • Charge, preceptor, float and custom differentials • Daily and weekly overtime • Double time • Holiday pay • Shift bonuses • Unpaid break deductions • Effective hourly rate for the whole shift Set your pay up once, and a shift takes seconds after that. OVERTIME THAT MATCHES YOUR EMPLOYER Generic paycheck calculators assume 40 hours and time and a half. Nurse Pay lets you set what your employer actually does: • Daily overtime after 8, 12 or any threshold — or none at all • Weekly overtime after 40 hours — or none • Your own overtime and double-time multipliers • Holiday multiplier • Whether differentials are blended into your overtime rate (the FLSA-style weighted regular rate) or premiums are paid on base only A shift that starts Saturday night and ends Sunday morning is split at the workweek boundary, so overtime counts in the week it belongs to. COMPARE TWO OFFERS Two contracts can look almost identical and pay very differently. Enter both and compare: • Taxable hourly pay • Guaranteed weekly hours • Housing stipend • Meals and incidentals stipend • Overtime • Sign-on and completion bonuses • Travel reimbursement • Contract length • Expected housing costs You get one answer: which offer pays more, by how much, and which line items decided it. The offer with the higher hourly rate is often not the one that pays more. PAY PERIODS Add the shifts in a pay period and see the total, with overtime carried across the full week instead of shift by shift, plus your effective rate for the period. YOUR NUMBERS STAY ON YOUR PHONE No sign-up. No employer login. No payroll connection. There is no Nurse Pay account and no Nurse Pay server — your rates and shifts live on your device. WHAT IS FREE, WHAT IS PRO Free: the full shift calculator with your own differentials and overtime rules, up to five saved shifts, and entering offers. Nurse Pay Pro adds side-by-side offer comparison, the pay-period calculator, percentage-of-base and time-window differentials, multiple pay profiles for different employers or units, and unlimited saved shifts and offers. Pro is a monthly or annual subscription. WHO IT IS FOR Staff nurses, travel nurses, PRN and per-diem nurses, night-shift and weekend-option nurses, and new grads reading a first contract. If you are paid hourly with differentials, overtime or bonuses, it works — RN, LPN and techs included. Nurse Pay produces estimates from the rates and rules you enter. Actual payroll, overtime, taxes, stipend treatment and employer policy may differ. Nurse Pay is not payroll and does not provide tax advice.
