GymLift is a strength-training log that plans today's session for you: weights, sets and rest are set from your recovery, and every change comes with the reason why. Log like a pro. Every set with previous values on the row, a rest timer that keeps running between screens, supersets, warm-ups, timed sets, custom exercises and a full exercise library with video demonstrations and substitutions. Start from an empty workout or one of your routines, your call. Know your day. A 30-second check-in each morning plus your Apple Health sleep, resting heart rate and HRV become one readiness score against your own baseline. Bands from High to Recovery say what kind of day it is. A plan that adapts (Pro). Built for your goal, days and equipment, then adjusted every day: lighter loads on a rough night, an extra set when you are fresh, a recovery session when your body asks for one. Every change shows its reason, and "Keep original" is always one tap away. Apple Watch, both ways. Start on either device and the other mirrors it: sets, rest, heart rate. Leave the phone at home: the watch runs the whole session on its own and syncs later. Live Activity keeps the rest timer and the next set on the Lock Screen. Your history, your data. Import the CSV from your previous tracker in a minute and keep every previous value and record from day one. Export everything as CSV whenever you like. Health data stays on your device and in your iCloud. Free forever: the logger, your own routines, the readiness score, history, Apple Watch, import and export. Pro builds your plan and adjusts it every day with a reason for every change, and adds the coach, readiness trends and calibration. GymLift is a training tool, not health advice. Verdict

Scored on Price · Rating · Positive reviews · Number of ratings · Update frequency · Ads · In-app purchases · Monetization · Best chart rank · Devices · Requires iOS
Both are free to download. GymLift sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. WeekFit asks for nothing beyond the download.
On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for WeekFit against 5.0 for GymLift. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeekFit has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
WeekFit ships an update weekly, GymLift daily. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
