A running app for heavier runners and anyone training to finish a race. I'm a heavier runner, and the running apps I tried were built for someone chasing a PR. I kept falling behind their plans, so I built Trig. HEAT PACE - FREE, NO SUBSCRIPTION Trig reads the temperature and the dew point where you are. Pick easy or intervals, put in the pace you're aiming for, and it tells you what pace to run today, unless it's too hot to give one. Intervals get half the adjustment, since the reps are short. If you already ran today, put in the pace you ran and see what it would have been without the heat. Miles or kilometers. TRIG COACH - SUBSCRIPTION OR LIFETIME Everything in this part needs Trig Coach. A plan to race day Pick your race and your date, from a 5K up to a marathon. Trig reads the running you've actually done from Apple Health and builds a week-by-week plan from there. Today's run When you open the app, today's workout is right there, with distance, effort, and a pace range adjusted for the heat, unless it's too hot to give one. Runs from your Apple Watch When a run from your Apple Watch shows up in Apple Health, Trig counts it toward your plan as done. Then you tap whether it felt about right, easier than expected, or harder than expected. Hot days When it's too hot for Heat Pace to give a pace, Trig turns a hard session into an easy run at the same distance and tells you why. On a long run day, if it's that hot or close to it, the distance stays and any marathon-pace miles come out. Missed a week Trig eases you back in with shorter, easier runs and never adds the missed miles on top. Any change it makes to your plan shows the reason and an Undo. Strength Lifts that fit around your runs, using the equipment you have at home. Once Trig knows your weights, each set comes filled in. One tap logs a set done as written. If you already lift once a week or more, your first session finds the right weight for each lift, one set at a time. If you don't, Trig sets your weights for the first 2 weeks. The rest timer starts itself when you log a set. Each lift you've done before shows what you did last time. When you finish, Trig tells you each lift's weight for next time, like "Back squat: found the right weight, 95 lb." A session you start and finish in Trig is saved to Apple Health as a strength workout, if you allow it. Your runs Past runs from Apple Health, with your splits and a map of your route. Find a race When you search for your race and RunSignup has it, Trig fills in the date and distance. Race predictor Trig predicts your race time from a recent race you enter, or from 8 weeks of your runs. Without either, it tells you when a prediction will be ready. PRIVACY No account No ads No tracking Your Health data is never sent to me Strength workouts go to Health only if you allow it PRICING Heat Pace is free.
