Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Etihad WE at 4.5 against Excellence Driving's 3.7. Etihad WE also leads on ratings volume (140 vs 6). Excellence Driving's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Etihad WE holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Etihad WE has 140 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 16% of Etihad WE's written reviews are positive against 20% of Excellence Driving's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Etihad WE ships an update monthly, Excellence Driving every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
