Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Hercules CyclePay holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hercules CyclePay has 3.1K ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Liox's written reviews are positive against 41% of Hercules CyclePay's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
Liox ships an update monthly, Hercules CyclePay every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
