Verdict
The clearest difference is rating: Race CommandIQ at 4.6 against SCE DR Alerts's 3.3. Race CommandIQ also leads on ratings volume (263 vs 38). SCE DR Alerts's advantage is iOS requirement (13.1 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.
Race CommandIQ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Race CommandIQ has 263 ratings behind it against 38, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of SCE DR Alerts's written reviews are positive against 27% of Race CommandIQ's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
SCE DR Alerts ships an update every 6 months, Race CommandIQ every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
