The app provides two modes for booking tickets: paper and paperless. For paper tickets, you will need to take a printout from a kiosk or counter at the station. For paperless tickets, your location is captured to ensure you are in a valid ticketing area, and no printout is required; you can show the ticket directly from your smartphone to the TTE.
