  • A true fan game

The detailing, on the ships and characters, is unbelievably accurate. They way you’ve tied every ship and character from every show and movie into one seamless storyline is incredible. I really like how you can really study the ships, go from world to world at anytime and complete side goals for rewards. I’ve been playing for the better part of 2 years and I have to say, I’m impressed. Looking at any character takes me back to the show and story. That’s where it’s at for me. The pvp ship battles aren’t bad either :) Your generosity in the game is unending. It's a great thing you have here. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I write this as I’m putting my 8 week old daughter to bed. I guess you never know, we could have another “pointy eared, green blooded hobgoblin” fan in our family. Hopefully your game will still be around for her to experience. An already long review, so I will simply say “Good luck” and thank you.

  • The greatest App game I’ve ever had

After playing Star Trek timelines for a few years now; and it’s hands-down the best Star Trek app game available for mobile devices on the market. The development has been steady and progressively productive. In app purchases are highly affordable but are not at all necessary to enjoy the game thoroughly. The attention to detail of stock check canon is so far superior to any other app game that uses the Star Trek theme. It almost feels Inaccurate to say this game uses it as a theme, because the Game is so lush in Star Trek lore, that it’s even kept current. Star Trek timelines is the only game where I’m able to play and collect characters from every Star Trek emanation. From the original to discovery and beyond. If you like Star Trek and you don’t at least give this game significant try ... it would be illogical.

  • Additive like Vegas Slots!

The game is fun and addicting, but is very expensive if you want to be relevant. There is no way to win, or ever collect them all, but collecting crew helps you do better in events which are designed to collect crew. The vicious cycle makes sure the House always is the ultimate winner. It is a great way to spend your free time, but never ending year round events make sure it eventually feels more like a job than entertainment.

Updated: A year later, the game has done more to ease the strong fisted hold on its rewards. They have great customer service and are constantly looking to improve. Still, I would rather be an investor than a player, as they continue to collect money hand-over-fist while my pleasure at playing remains moderate. The money they bring in from someone like me who only “kinda enjoys play” shows their model works. With that, I’ll take another day.

  • Awesome game

I love this game. For me support has been great. I love the collecting aspect and the fact it is Star Trek based. It is possible to "beat" the game without spending money. But for me the object isn't getting thru the available chapters. It is collecting the crew. There are many many free to play players who haven't spent a dime and have great lists of crew. There is a monthly card for $4 that gives a free item or crew member every day. It also gives 100 dilithium the currency every day. That's plenty to do everything but really the only thing needed is patience. I have spent money on this mainly to buy dilithium I use to purchase special crew packs. But even that isn't necessary unless you're obsessed with "catching them all". The company continues to try to make the game better and come up with fun things to do. If you love Trek it is a must have game.

  • Game is on a decline.

I’ve been playing this game since the day after it was introduced, going on almost 4 years now. I’m not going to lie, it isn’t as fun as it used to be. There’s nothing new, nothing exciting, and everywhere you turn, you have to spend a decent amount of money to get anywhere decent in the game. I still log in, still do my chores (dailies). I just wish It was cheaper, and it wasn’t the same thing all the time. Every time there’s an update, it seems nothing works right. It’d be great if they had a Q/A section that could identify problems before releases. There’s so much more I could say about this game but that’s for another time. I do like it, somewhat, what can I say, I’m a Trekkie. And it has given me the platform to meet people in my fleet I would of never met who I call my friends now. I just wish it could get better. Listen to your fans/player base DB.

Update, the citation sale was a good idea/effort. I hope they’d keep that up.

  • Been playing for years.

    Great game. Fun and simple.

Collect versions of characters from nearly all Star Trek media. (Excludes novels and the new movies). You build them up and play a variety of simple missions.

Weekly competitive events keep it interesting. Events give rewards just for playing, so they’re still fun even if you’re not competing for high rank. While the game does have a competitive aspect, you can never take resources from other players: you keep everything you earn and no one can raid you to take your stuff. This is a big point for me. Too many games allow this and it burns me out in days.

It is a “freemium” game. If you spend, you will advance faster, but is completely unnecessary to have fun with it. I will recommend the premium campaign upgrade if you want to spend just a little bit. It costs $10 and gives exceptional rewards just for completing all of your daily missions. Other than that, it’s mostly gamble packs.

Star Trek Timelines is a fun little game that doesn’t require too much time or money.

    Enjoy. LLAP.

  • Very fun, game stays fresh every week

I’m a long-time Trek fan, And this game immediately drew my interest. I love how true to the series the game stays, and how much depth and detail goes into so many aspects of it. It is not a pay to win game, although paying for certain aspects can speed you along and I like that it doesn’t feel forced to buy. One big addition I would like to see added to the game would be more interactions with your fleet. Our fleet has a lot of fun talking amongst each other, and we even have several rivalries with other fleets. It would be awesome if there were ways to challenge them to ship battles, gauntlets, etc. Also make fleet rewards part of events, as there are already fleet rankings I feel there should also be rewards involved.

In summary, great game, but would love to see more MMO aspects added to make that feeling of community have an impact on the game.

  • Updated review

The game is great: 5 stars, always great. Much better than the one that gets advertised.

Anyway: I had a huge problem with my log in, it got associated to another old email of mine and was all screwed up. I figured that was it and started over again. Then I sent a help request and the support team was AMAZING. For a free app, for any free anything, to provide such hands on service and support is almost shocking. Personal emails, two different reps working on it: all bc I messed something up.

Now my game which I’ve been working on for a couple years is back. I’m stoked bc this is a game that I play here and there, but it’s the only phone game I’ve played this long. Thanks everyone.

  • Fun for Trekkies

As a die hard Trekkie I love this game for the shear awesomeness of imagining all these characters from different series working together. I have so much fun collecting characters and sending them in away teams together. This is definitely one of my favorite ways to spend my time. That being said, the main value in this game is primarily imagined. I ignore most of the in game stories and I avoid the super obnoxious space battles. Also, like most app games these days, you soon run into a point where you either have to wait for things to finish or make in app purchases. This game is definitely out to get your money and most of the cool stuff requires at least a few purchases to enjoy. I can’t imagine why anyone who isn’t obsessed with this franchise would want to play this game. So there you have it. A great thought experiment with to many in app purchases that’s fun for Trekkies!

  • Good game horrible support

The game is fun however when they have technical troubles the support is horrible. Submitted a case on a Friday at 5:00 pm about an issue with a purchase not showing up in game for me but my money coming out of iTunes. I finally got a response Saturday afternoon saying they apologize and need to see a copy of my receipt and they can adjust my game. I sent the receipt back in an email and said they show but the purchase in game. No response until Sunday when the day I need to contact iTunes to have them credit my account if I don’t want the purchase. I reply saying I don’t want a credit I want the purchase put into my game as they said they would. It is now Tuesday and I still have not gotten any response after emailing multiple times. Terrible customer service!
