Don’t bother.

I signed up in hopes of winning an auction for a business class seat (upgrading from premium economy) on Condor. I was bidding against one other sucker. Sucker, because when I finally got to the gate I was told that all business class seats had been sold out for days. So, their sneaky seatBoost’s business model must be to trick people into “bidding” in a fake auction, and then to sell to the airlines info about what people WOULD HAVE BEEN willing to pay. Doubtless airlines pay them a pretty penny for the fraud they perpetrate on travelers.

When our airline partners share the information that a particular flight is already full or even overbooked, that auction does not open, as we strive to provide the best user experience possible. SeatBoost is GDPR compliant and the concerns expressed in this review are not valid. We weren't able to locate any contact with our Customer Service team, but we would be happy to assist you, so please reach out to us directly. As described in our app, please note that the number of last minute upgrades available in a SeatBoost auction can always increase or decrease due to reasons like last minute bookings and “no shows”. We encourage fliers interested in an upgrade to bid in an auction, because there’s always a chance to win, and there’s no cost to participate. Availability can also depend on a number of other factors and the discretion or requirements of the airline. An open seat on the airplane does not guarantee that seat is available for purchase through SeatBoost. That said, because availability can change, we cannot guarantee availability on any flight.

Horrible, Buggy, Waste of Time

The app had me bidding for an upgrade that wasn’t even available. Then a flight delay caused “technical challenges” so no results before departure, and when I landed after my 12 hour flight it was still processing auction results with a promise to announce results soon. A waste of time. A waste of energy. A waste of hope.

Good idea

Although I did not get the upgrade. I was pleased with the simple UI/UX experience. I appreciate how straightforward it was. And although is exciting to check the app and know you are the only one participating, after counting the minutes until the clock hits zero and not getting the upgrade hurts 😅. But I am aware that during the rules of the game they were very explicit about just because you are the number one doesn't mean you would be guarantee an upgrade.

Kyle ROCKS!!!

I don’t know who’s decision it was to hire this young man but great job! I had a flight in JFK and I wanted to bid for an upgrade. Kyle was super patient and helpful during the entire process. He has such a kind and welcoming demeanor and I really appreciated all of his help!

Very convenient and authentic

I was at first skeptical about this app but after I did research and actually used the app it was great. When going to Bali I really wanted to try to get in first class without the hassle of paying a lot of money, this app made it affordable and possible for me to get into first class and enjoy the benefits of it. Seatboost is a great way to upgrade your flight in a fast,fun, and easy way.
