Was a great app
Was a great app but after the latest update, it quit working. I said that I need to log into my .account but will not accept my password. I tried to create an account but I already had one. There is no button to reset my password. I tried to get help using the link provided for the app in the App Store but the page does not exist. So now I have an expensive scale that cannot communicates with my phone.
I just read the new privacy policy. It is not very clear because it is written in incorrect english so it is not clear what they really mean. I am planning to get a different scale now and cannot in good conscience sell this scale to someone else at any price. Planning to put the scale on my driveway, cover it with a piece of cardboard and run over it several times with my car so that the scale will work as good as the app.Show lessdrd1025
One day it stopped connecting
I just woke up one day and it stopped connecting to my phone, still connects fine to other phones. I tried reinstalling the app, restarting WiFi, restarting the scale etc. Nothing. Just refuses to connect to my phone. It’s useless to me now.SarahCelebrian
TERRIBLE design with the new update!!
I’ve been a YUNMAI smart scale user for years now. Great product BUT the new version of the app is very disappointing. What happened to displaying if you lost or gained?? The previous version did that very well. The UI and UX of this new version needs to go back to the drawing board. I love the product but the companion app let me down with this update..Show lessmannikin
Update Broke Several Things
The latest YUNMAI update is a train wreck. Not only did it forget my login information but it made it difficult to re-enter my password and user ID. Further, after I finally got the app to allow me to change my password, the system will not allow me to login but times out my request to login EVERY time! It’s as if the YUNMAI server is offline. Additionally, since I’m not able to log into the system, the electronic scales have defaulted to reporting my weight on the scales in kilograms rather than in pounds. That means I have to do a manual conversion on a calculator to figure out what my weight is in pounds. And since I’m not able to log onto the YUNMAI server, my scales won’t communicate via Bluetooth with my iPhone or iPad. It’s a mess. Too many notifications
I like the app and I’m also glad they recently released an update but why does it need to remind me to weigh myself 10 times a day when I have weighed myself already?? It keeps sending me notifications to go weigh myself when I already did.warcockmachine
Error - “Chinese App Store download required”
I guess I’m just having the same issue here like everyone else. Chinese App Store download required message pops out all the time and unable to continue using this app. Tried to switching to Chinese App Store but still unable to make a new purchase (download). Is there any way developer could fix this???Show lesssipsip915
Update forces login, forgot password
I used a non email address to create my account. The app updated automatically to version 3 and wants me to login. I don’t remember my password and the email account is not a real email. So all of my data from the last 3 years is gone. Thanks YUNMAI for forcing a login. No way to go back to the previous version to fix my account so that this doesn’t happen. No warning. Thanks. Now I have to start over. Might as well start over with a new scale and vendor. All so you could add a smart jump rope.Show lessSt3ve in Texas
Security and privacy concerns
They changed the app to now require creating a login, with nothing to indicate what data will be recorded remotely. I am very unhappy about this change since I don’t want to share my data indiscriminately and there is no way to access information other than weight on the scale without the app.
I give two stars because I enjoyed using the app before without the required login. I hope the developer change back the login requirement.Show lessSainueng
New update..ugh!
I really hate the new update! I loved the old one. I could tell instantly by seeing the green arrow if I was down and scroll through the different charts. It gave me a little incentive to want to see that green arrow on weigh in. Now, nothing. I just bought another YUNMAI for our second home, but am thinking of looking for something else with an app I like. Everything else is fine. Just please put the arrows back on the weigh in graphic!!!! I would be giving 5 stars otherwise. That’s how much I dislike the update!Show lessChrista535
Update Deleted my Data
I enjoy the smart scale and it’s instant transfer of my weight and other metrics to the phone app. Although the tracking graphs could have been amazing in the old app version, they were still pretty good. In fact, I had weighed myself almost daily for over 3 years. But this morning, I realized that the app had updated over night and only TWO WEIGH INS WERE SAVED.
