  • Love the app

It will be 1 year soon and I will renew.
Never had a problem running it.
  • First Class

I don’t know what some of these reviewers are ranting about. Roon is excellent and I have encountered very few problems which I suggest are more to do with the broadband than Roon.
  • Keeps getting better and better

Fantastic app and system with a R.O.C.K.
Well worth the subscription fee. So easy to get lost in music and bios for hours.
  • Roon is great, app on iPad needs a little work

Generally, I have very few gripes about this app. It’s stable, straight forward and, on my iPhone 12 (with iOS 15), works perfectly.

It works exactly the same on my iPad, BUT, devs, PLEASE add magic keyboard/trackpad support!
  • Unusable since update 831

This review is for the iOS Roon Remote app. The Roon service itself is great, if you can use it. Unfortunately, the last update to this app, which was released about a month and a half ago, makes it unusable for many users. The app now syncs the volume setting of the iOS device it’s running on to the volume setting of the streaming device that it’s controlling, and leaves it that way, even after exiting the app. This can have different results. The volume of my streamer is set more than 4 times higher than the volume of my iPhone. Thus, if I open Roon Remote, from that point on, all sounds coming from my phone will blast me at more than 4 times the expected volume. For people whose streamers are set to fixed volume, this app mutes their phone. No ringtones, alerts, or sound from any app. This problem was reported by multiple users immediately. To date, Roon has issued no confirmation that they intend to fix it. If you are considering Roon, and want to control it with an iOS device, I suggest waiting until they fix this.

  • Decent, but lots to fix

The look & feel, functionality and design is great, but strongly hampered by crashes and a lack of true multi-tasking. This makes it far more frustrating to use than it should be - especially because when it works, it’s wonderful. I’m subscribed and really hope to see this app reach its potential.
  • Crashes on iPad Pro

After deciding to trial roon on my laptop, which works well, it was installed on my iPad Pro. Opening for the first time and connecting to my MB pro as server the app it is unusable because it crashes whenever selecting a genre. Uninstalling didn’t fix it.
  • Once was brilliant.

As a new user, I was very pleased to find this app and pay for a year. But they’ve updated it and now it spends its life looking for an audio device or wanting to log in then telling me I’m already logged in. This is hopeless!i won’t be renewing.
  • Great service poorly implemented

Roon is a fantastic service. It works seamlessly on my PC,Mac and iPad. However the iPhone app on is useless. Latest version on an iPhone 12pro freezes and crashes constantly. Delete/reinstall/reboot all you want, it still crashes and freezes. Roon is a paid service. This level of performance is not acceptable.

  • Roon needs a lot of work

    1. The software is clunky, very clunky. It has big inefficiencies. Why for example does the app need to be reloaded when the screen turns off or when you’re switching between apps?! 2. There are a lot of bugs. 3. Go onto their community site, there are SO SO many issues. 4. Their community is full of toxic asshats. 5. It’s extremely pricey with a subscription, and yet it’s something you still need to self host? This is an app from the 2000s. 6. You will never get this software to work with Apple Music, Spotify or any of the big streamers. They require “full integration” - it’s not clear what this means to anyone besides that this software will never work with any of the big boys
