  • Mostly good

    When the app asked for my unit number and complex name, I assumed that it meant it wanted the number on my house within the complex. I didn’t realize that actually meant the street number of the complex. This caused a delay because the driver went to the wrong address. Food was cold by the time he found it.

  • Service

    I normally don’t give reviews at all. However, with this app I feel the need to. I always get excellent service and the people whom help are always very friendly
  • 2 massive flaws

    The app is great with regards to Restaurants , Payment , keeping you updated , tracking deliveries.

    But there are 2 incredibly massive flaws I still can’t believe they haven’t fixed!

    1) you cannot make notes for the restaurant in each dish ... for instance “No Onions” or “allergic to nuts please exclude”

    Which is a small but incredibly useful thing Uber Eats does and has led me to not use the app and turn to Uber or call myself and go pick up

    2) you cannot track your delivery on maps or anything only a notification it’s on its way...

    Seriously Mr D... this is not the most complicated or difficult thing to add to your app... super annoying

  • Not as good as OrderIn, but better than Uber Eats

    OrderIn is strictly better in terms of service, restaurant offering, usability, and keeping their promises. But sometimes Mr D has a restaurant that OrderIn doesn’t and it’s not as bad as Uber Eats, so I keep it on my phone. Probably the most annoying thing about it is they have a toggle to turn off promotional push notifications. I have it toggled off, but I still get regular promotional push notifications.

  • Does not show real-time updates where the driver is

    Uber eats will show a real-time position of exactly where the delivery driver is and give an almost perfectly accurate to estimation on when the driver will be there.

    Unfortunately with MR D they do not have this, the orders are always random estimations and never on time. Not know where the driver is at all times, means you have to wait and wait

  • Very fast and reliable

    I ordered food for delivery today but they were here within the expected delivery time this is a great app indeed
  • Foreign bank cards

    Great service but it would be so much more convenient to foreign holidaymakers if you accepted their credit or debit cards. I tried several times but in the end had to get cash to pay. I tried EFT but again only South African banks. I think it would be a plus for tourism in general, and convenient especially for Airbnb guests if they could order from the huge selection of cuisines available in the city and have ease of payment as well.

    We confused the driver with the address and he still delivered. Thank you and great great service.
  • Poor customer service

    My first order was wrong and the customer service team hasn’t made it right. They haven’t responded at all actually. It’s been over two weeks and crickets. I was missing two items from my order and I was charged for them. The driver acknowledged this but refused to go back to get the missing items, blaming the restaurant. At least with Uber Eats, if something is wrong they fix it almost immediately. Customer service is huge and if you want to play with the big boys then you need to step it up.
