Tried 3 times in different parts of the island - rate of success 0.
Not Useful
Was never able to book a ride. Tried on several occasions. Every time nobody responded. Basically a waste of time.
Not able to book a ride
After several attempts, I was not able to book a ride from Southampton parish to Aquarium. Even though map showed several available drivers around me, nobody responded and request timed out. I tried calling Hitch, but nobody answered and their mailbox was full.
Please do not really on this app if you need to catch a flight or be somewhere on time! This is definitely not Uber!

Bermuda Hitch
Works similar to Uber. The drivers are typically taxi drivers. The cost is no cheaper than a taxi and drivers in Bermuda can be very rude and unfriendly. Often charged well over normal fare amount. Don't bother with this. Call a taxi and save some $$$
Buyer beware- 20% premium charged!
Hitch rides (unlike Uber or Lyft in the states) charge a 15% premium to cover "credit card processing fees & gratuities." My experience is that it's a 20% premium as I did Hitch one ride and paid cash on the return. Do NOT use- best to bring cash!!
$500 charge for a 12 minute taxi
Yes you heard that right. I had 12 minute taxi ride from St George to Grotto Bay and my estimated total was $18-24. My final charge? $502. The driver tried to call Hitch to no avail. I have emailed them 3 times over the course of 3 days with no response.
Great App
So much easier than calling and waiting for a taxi (that sometimes never shows up). I've never waited more than 5 minutes using this app and it's great that it shows where your driver is and what his name etc is. Great to not have to carry cash or wait for change either. A++
You're better off with taxis
Used it for the first time from the Bermuda airport and the driver also picked up two other people and I was charged for the total fare! I complained to Hitch support and cut my fare in half. Sneaky driver. I'm not using it again
