  • When will this be available to iPhone 13?

I got my permanent implant in Nov 2022 and was told by a rep that if I had the 13 it would work as long as it isn’t the pro which isn’t but it will not allow me to add this app to use on my phone. I hate having to have the iPod and that’s why I got this so I can use my phone but now I can’t they say. Do u know when this will be available?? It would be great to know and you would think you would be able to use it on the newer phones .
  • Phone update

I check this app every so often to see if it has been updated to and of the newer iPhones. Unfortunately it has not been. I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max and it is not compatible. Being that I love to travel and often go out of the country on mission trips I would love to see an update soon. This device has helped me tremendously with my daily functions but adjusting it on the fly is hard when you have to dig out the iPod or forgot it. Soon I hope to see warm weather and get out my motorcycles and would love to see an update by then. I can only give 2 stars in that I can not use it but the people at st Jude’s tell me that it is nice to have. If you update your system I will update my stars. Please contact me if you do update I my even buy a new phone but look at the list of phones first! Lol thank you.

  • Slow to update device compatibility

The app does its job, but only when it works on the device you own. I don’t have another single app that doesn’t stay current with devices and operating system. And most of those are not critical apps. This is the controller for my healthcare device and it is inexcusable to not maintain it.

If you are considering an implanted device, be sure to go with a company that is going to stay diligent and committed to maintaining it.
  • needs to be updated

this app is horrible. takes forever to load my device. Why in the world are they doing updates and not adding more compatible devices. so tired of carrying around a ipod to use my device. i don’t want a second device let me use my phone i already own!!!!
i just can’t understand why they have been 2 years behind on device compatibility. they blame the “magnet” in the iphone max but i literally put my phone in my back pocket all day everyday and it never interferes with my stimulator so i call bull on that excuse. i got my device outside of st jude through a private neurosurgeon and have the same issues with incompatibility as everyone else. worst part is neurosurgeon moved across the country and can’t update the programs in ipod as no other dr will go near the device as they didn’t implant it. and won’t let abbott reps in their office to allow me to get updated programs. worst situation ever. i have a $300,000 surgery for a device i can’t even use.
  • Abbott Needs to MAKE IT RIGHT!

I became very interested in the Proclaim XR SCS after trying conventional methods to deal with my back pain. I spoke with my doctor and also reps from Abbott and learned at that time that there was support almost 24/7 if there was a problem. I decided that this was definitely a win win situation if it helps with the pain. I did the trial and then had it installed about one month ago only to learn that Abbott just changed their support policy so if you need help on the weekends or after hours, you are out of luck until the next business day. There is also an app for your phone so you don't need to carry the i-pod around with you BUT this app can ONLY be used by ólder phones and Abbott is at least 2 + years behind in getting the new model phones approved by the FDA which they blame on the FDA. I would have considered another company if I knew up front about these problems. It's time for this company to do the right thing and help their patients especially with the money that is being charged for the SCS!
  • App not up to date

I’ve just gotten a Spinal cord stimulator that the program uses the IOS platform. However, either Apple or Abbott isn’t updating the IOS to match new phones that come out. My phone is a 13, and it’s not compatible with the app. I have to not only carry my phone as always, but now I have to also carry an IPod touch so I can access my device.
    This is truly ridiculous.
  • Doesn’t work on iPhone 12 Pro Max

When I first got my stimulator nearly two years ago I had an iPhone 8 and was able to use the app instead of carrying around an iPod as well. Around six months later I got an iPhone 12 Pro Max and realized the app wasn’t compatible. The 11 pro max has been added but why not the 12? Im really sick of carrying around an iPod in addition to my phone when the app should have no problems functioning on this phone.
  • Frustrating, to say the least

It seems crazy that this App isn’t up to date to work with current iPhones. I had iPhone 12, not compatible, now IPhone 13, not compatible. So I need to carry around the iPod controller and my iPhone. More than once I’ve misplaced the controller and had to go searching through backpacks, bags and my car in search of it when I’ve needed the program reevaluated. It’s just another thing to get lost. Seeing that it’s a medical device & program, one would think Abbott would stay up to date on making sure the App works on current iPhones. Frustrating.
  • UPDATE TO CURRENT iPHONE

When will the software be updated to support the newest iPhones??? I switched to iPhone from Samsung so I would not have to carry 2 devices and now that’s the boat I’m in…I would have kept my Samsung had I know this was gonna happen I’d kept my Samsung. I’m very disappointed especially since there is now a new iPhone out and I’m debating go with it or just go back to Samsung cause who knows how long it will be before the app be able to work on the most up to date software.
  • So frustrating!

I just recently updated my iPhone and now this app does not work on my new phone so frustrating so I had to go back to the original I pad they gave me and it does not hold a charge. Every time I go to use it it’s always dead and I have to charge it before I can use it, please update this app to the new I phone! when you don’t feel good and you have to fumble with different iPads and things. It’s very frustrating. I wish my doctor would have used a more up-to-date stimulator so I wouldn’t have this problem. We live in a computer world now I don’t understand why this can’t be a quick fix.
