  • One of the better iOS games I’ve played

Love almost everything about it. On my third start as I was a little too eager to progress in my first two runs. Word of advice... really explore side towns that are out of the way from the main objective, stash extra materials at safe zones as you go further with the campaign, and manage radiation!

The only issue I have is that this game punishes you quite severely for death. At times I’ve died and it planted me at a safe zone that was so far from where I was at and enemies or radiation would get me every time on my way back to where I was. Couple that with the penalties after death and surviving while you are disadvantaged has caused me to restart.

The only pressure I feel for in app purchases is from the harsh penalties of death, but instead I just feel defeated and don’t play as much deciding whether or not I will continue. It’s pretty demotivating. I know it’s a survival game, but that’s a lot of ad revenue I won’t be clicking because I just feel discouraged to play.

I do like how you can selectively watch ads and get free items here and there. Two ads the final fantasy one and some war game tower defense one never yield a free item for me however. Not sure if that’s a bug.

    Overall great game

  • Used to be a great game

I have to agree with Stas0K. After the last major update, the game is now pay to barely survive. I’ve been playing this game for years and always looked forward to starting a new game. Now; forget it. The resource mgmt is a joke. The consumption rate to repair items vastly exceeds the acquisition rate, even on easy mode. When you lose combat, you suffer FOUR penalties, not just one. Your stats drop by 25%, you lose items, you’re randomly teleported to another location; either a high radiation area where you’re likely to die faster or some area you’ve visited without resources that forces to backtrack and run out of equipment. The fourth and absolute deal breaker is you also lose a level. That’s right, say goodbye to all your progress with new skills.

Don’t bother with this game. It’s endless frustration that’s not worth the headache

Oh, and let’s not forget about the removal of the save option and caps in the premium version I paid for. Don’t buy their excuse that having a save anytime option isn’t ‘realistic’. It’s a cash grab so you’re forced to pay for top equipment over and over again to survive. Let’s not forget they drastically increased how quickly equipment deteriorates.

  • It was a bit better before the update also stop showing finial fantasy ad

Don’t get me wrong the game is good but I preferred it before the update for example now I have to level up just to unlock stuff I preferred it to when you level up the individual skill by doing something like taking apart a bike or table instead it now just trying to lvl up and the only real way to lvl up is to do the quest or just find books and that be fine if I wasn’t at a part where it requires me to have a motorcycle but you can only start making one until your lvl 38 and I’m only lvl 29 before this wouldn’t have been a problem but now it’s just a big issue same goes for the dynamo flashlight now it just disappears and deletes itself and now their is just radiation every like I get making more challenging but it’s just kinda dumb and bothersome before it was just the bigger major cities now it’s like every single one of them don’t get me wrong I like the new combat system and the new perks but still I feel like it the updates are more bad then good whatever you guys ain’t gonna read this

  • This game is very good for it to be on the app store

Honestly this game is great but hard so it presents as quite a challenge but worth playing. The map is huge i just started playing it seems like there’s endless content despite that I want the developers to update frequently for campaign reasons also because there could be more items added. As well idk if there are any because im not far into the game at all but cool if there are or would be friendly AI in terms of conpanions like people that can hold your loot and help you in combat. But overall with what im provided and for it to be a mobile app is insane in the detail as well as the gameplay and this definitely classifyes it as a survival game I would say even better than day Z mobile by far.

  • Ruined game

It was good until the last big update where everything was ruined and the developers won’t even respond to an email. I mean I paid a lot of money for cement and other resources to build a base just so they can turn the location into a radioactive forest in the update. I also purchased the premium version for the ability to save game and they just took it away like I paid for absolutely nothing!!! I already paid for it and I want what I paid for back!!!! I also want all those resources I spent building a base in now a useless location reimbursed! It used to be fun but now you just run around loosing a lot of stuff to random attacks and the game has become a stressful pile of garbage thanks to the last update and unresponsiveness of the developers. What a waste.

Update: so the response is that it is totally OK for the developers to rework maps and negatively affect a player’s progress and purchases with no warning or compensation. In other words - oh you spent $50 on cement to build all these green houses that you can’t even properly access anymore due to radiation? No problem - go spend another 50 what do we care. As for the premium save option, forgive me for being blunt, but it is none of your business how I choose to play a game I paid for. If I want to abuse the save to avoid trouble - that is my right - A RIGHT I PAID MONEY FOR!!! To conclude - do not play this game, do not spend money on this game, and avoid these developers in the future.

    Developer Response

Hello. Houses and dugout defend from radiation, so when you are at the base you're safe. Players used the save and load to avoid even minor difficulties in the game. This contradicted the essence of survival simulator, and it was decided to rework the survival system. Now after the character's death you no longer lose all achieved progress, but get some penalties. The new system encourages a player to think tactically and be more careful. At first it may seem unusual, but we hope your opinion will change to a more positive one. Our support team responds to all players messages. • Characters weapons underpowered

What’s the deal with fighting enemies? I’m getting killed instantly, but can’t even scratch raiders or monsters. I’m getting killed left and right, I can never use the bike because of injuries, and I can’t get out of the stupid Halloween quest mode. Also the prizes for whatching ads are garbage, I only get caps or canned beef. Once I did get some rpg ammo, but it never appeared in my inventory.
Now I’m sorry that I’m ranting. I actually do like this game, but it gets frustrating when I’m always leveling down and dying. Please make it so the weapons are actually useful against more than rats, and it would also be nice to not decrease a level each time you die. Plus, I’ll be happy if there is a way to get out of the Halloween quest and go back to normal game play.
    Thanks

  • Bring it back

Honestly this game was one of the greatest games on the App Store, but now you’ve changed the entire game and it’s ruined for me, it’s a lot harder and it’s just not as fun anymore, you should remove the level system and make the manual combat system optional, bring back the manual save points, and make it so we don’t lose items from our base when we die, I can live with everything else but these four things just ruin the fun of the game, I’m sure the veterans of this game agree.

  • Devs...what have you done...

I going to start out with this, I am a veteran day r survival player, and have been with them from start, and had gone through all of the updates. I was proud to say that this game kept getting better and better, as you could see in my former review. Then this "update" happened. You totally reconstructed crafting, sleeping, experience, and many other things. I would say, probably along with many other veteran players, that you have practically made a new game. Everything I loved about the old version is gone, and the game became 50% harder, even on easy mode. I'm not trying to totally slam y'all, because I do like some of the new features, such as resting, searching, and a few other things. The one biggest thing y'all did is how radiation doesn't decrease when out of its areas. That's stupid and not even realistic, and is impossible for newer players to get it to go away, red wine and vodka don't grow on trees in this game! I ask you devs, please, please bring some of the older aspects of the game. You had such a gem of a game, and I have not given up all hope on it just yet...

  • Thank you

I happened upon this game back in 2015 or 16 or whenever this game came out and the amount of change that’s happened to it is amazing. I haven’t uninstalled this game in years granted I’m not the best at it but I love the exploring I get really immersed into my characters trying to keep them alive for as long as possible so thank you for actually working on something and making it great

  • Love it

I get why some people don’t like it. It can get grindy at times, and it starts off a bit slow. But for me, it’s great game. I’ve sunk way too many hours into this. It’s definitely not easy to make it to the end game!
