For a thirteen dollar app that drives a 100 dollar bit of software on a Mac I’m finding it to be a hair buggy and unclear as to its operations.

It’s hard to tell if this is due to Tidal being not quite ready for prime time or just that the software needs a bit of development in the UI.

I’ll give it a try with headphones from the phone next.

The potential seems great, so I’ll try to be patient and see if a more powerful experience is in its way.

(My signal chain is iPhone to Mac Mini to Tidal to Schiit DAC to Parasound to Emotiva T1s. FYI)

  • No search index

Having 100g of HD music on my phone, a search index is totally necessary. This app doesn’t have this feature so it’s a too much time consuming for me !
  • The update made it worse

So I’ve had this app for over a month and have yet to be able to use it successfully. I was at least able to play a snippet of a song before crashing, but since the update a couple weeks ago it now crashes while loading my library. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

Do not pay for this app until you see that these issues were fixed.

  • Stops after two songs

I’d love to love this player but it stops after two songs of an album and then you can only play one song at a time.
  • Amazing

This will show you how bad iTunes really sounds.

    Thank you Amarra!
  • Album art is missing.

It's a buggy music app,The iTunes and Amarra library downloads is hanging while playing. The album art quality is reduced when you download from your Amarra library. After that, the whole album art are lost.
  • Sheesh

If you purchase don’t plan on ever getting support for the product. And if something happens there support portal lol you will never find support there ..... Not cool
  • Doesn’t work as advertised

No remote feature event though it’s LISTED ON THE SITE

“We’re free to change the features or remove them any time we want- even if you paid for it.”

    -Verbatim wording from Amarra Support

I suggest that everyone avoids purchasing their
    Product
  • Not worth $13

Really the app isn’t fully functional. And they nic and dime you.Full of bugs still. Please fix the music showing 00:00 and that’s a big Also it disconnects too much.Sound is a bit tiny needs more stereo field.
  • Slow

and clunky too. Scrolling through music takes an age. There’s no alphabetical listing down the side of the app to help you quickly jump to an artist. Have the developers seen the competition? I like Amarra but it really needs a competent remote to make the best of it. This app isn’t it.
