  • Phenomenal

I was using VOX as my go-to iTunes killer on the IPhone.. until I downloaded this. I’m a daily Amarra 4 and sQ+ user on my Mac. This sound quality is phenomenal. The quality over the Music app is dramatic. There is so much more detail, depth, and naturalness to the music. It just sounds “analog”. Plug your iPhone into some great headphones, play some lossless tracks. Be happy.

  • Faster intergration

But lost album lists when using as a remote.
Still does not load Tidal albums with song list. Very frustrating when purchased to use as a remote.
    Old app worked fine.
    Upgrade made no improvements :(
    Looking at switching to audirvana
    Remote works seamlessly
  • Almost useless

The app doesn’t return any albums, and playlists, no songs — all I can use it for is play/pause and skipping tracks.

I tried telling this the the Amarra sales guy, and he said try the “latest version”

Like I said, almost useless — which is sad because the EQ in Amarra Mac rocks!
  • If it worked it might be nice

Having put up with the bugs of Amarra Symphony 3 +iRC for years I thought I'd try Amarra 4 Lux. I was excited to see an iOS remote available. It looks like it could be good, but it doesn't work well, if at all.
The functions that did work are excruciatingly slow (waiting to page through lists which should scroll smoothly), but most functions don't function. I'm using this on an iPad Pro and fast Mac so can't blame the hardware.
Amarra sounds great when it works. I hope they fix the bugs in v4, unlike v3, but this app lends no confidence.

  • Doesn’t work

    Doesn’t work at all.
  • Jazzmangeof

Worst remote app I have ever used very clunky looses connection and very slow to respond to track changes.
Paid to up grade to Amarra Lux.
Needs. Lot more work guys to compete with Itunes and JRiver
    Remote apps.
  • Bugs need fixing

When it connects it’s fine, but too often it doesn’t. When are you updating to fix this??
  • This Is Silly

They can’t even pretend this app works. I know I have a large collection (around 4000 cd’s). But it just doesn’t work...it’s obsessed with certain albums and plays what it wants when I choose something...and my collection is impeccably tagged...

They make some of the best sounding software...not the best working or the most intuitive...It’s too bad...

  • Still buggy

Downloaded the app and trial of ver 4 lux. I must say version 4 offers considerably improvement over the version 2 I’ve been using. The app works to control amarra but only sometimes. The connection to the computer is often lost. Sorting by album works then it doesn’t. This will be a nice app someday but right now it’s a beta release.

  • Deeply frustrating application

Amarra would be all I need for my HiFi listening if this app worked. What really disappoints is that I spent quite a bit of extra cash to get a version of Amarra that had a remote control facility only to find out that the app most often will not open.
