  • Switching after five years

i’ve used Polymail for close to the last five years and today I am switching my email client. I understand getting rid of the free tier option, however charging $5 a month is excessive. I would not mind paying a yearly fee or a one time payment to use Polymail as I really do love the app, however charging $5 a month when adding zero new features is insane, especially considering the amount of bugs that are present in Polymail. I have had the same issue with the badge app icon and my inbox displaying different unread messages numbers for years now and other small bugs like inboxes not loading that have just never been fixed. This is extremely frustrating to me because it seems like they are just trying to get money out of its existing user base without actually adding value. I really hope they fix some of these bugs and come up with a better pricing structure as i really would love to continue to use Polymail.

Hey there! This is Ryan the CEO, sorry to lose you as part of the Polymail community after all this time. Please do reach out if there’s a chance we can win you back. As we mentioned a few times before the transition, to focus on our paid services, it’s a race to bottom to provide free email services when folks who don’t need a “pro” experience and aren’t willing to pay to save time and make managing email relationships easier and effective when they can just use Gmail. You’d be blown away by how expensive it is to run a premium email service with all the additional features we add to the standard “just show you your email” experience. If you’d like to stay with us, please do reach out. You can email me at ryan at polymail.io. 🙏🏼
  • Account?

I was looking forward to using this app as it has all the features I want. It looks great. But do I have this right? I have to create a Polymail address to use it? What?? I’m not sure why anyone would abandon either a personal or work account they’ve been using for years just to have an app. I know I wouldn’t. Why would you exclude 99% of the market? I don’t get it.

Hey this is Ryan, the CEO. You can use any email you like. Would love to know what you made you think you had to change emails. We’re not a device that requires you to change anything. Email me at ryan at polymail.io, would love to help.
  • Phantom in box

I’ve used Polymail off and on for years and have just returned for another try. The reason I left is still there. I have a notification badge of an unread message, not shown in my last two years of in box. Could you, please, make it possible to list “all unread” so I can clear this?

    Thanks,

    Patrick Noonan

  • Been using it for 4 years

I genuinely love this app. I’m in sales so email if a lifeblood of what I do all the time. It’s better than Gmail and most of all the other emails apps out there. Clean, great UI, easy management, great aggregation of multiple accounts. I don’t work for this company but I am an advocate. 4 years use and still loving it.

  • I like it

Looking forward to seeing how Polymail evolves. Great, clean UI. Intuitive platform. Unsubscribe, send later, follow up, search function is excellent.

I’m a fan and happy to pay.
  • Great app, but has long-standing bugs

I love Polymail. From tracking and managing emails to finding files and cross-platform abilities… the feature set is great.

That being said, I wish their development team would focus on fixing bugs that have been around forever. Deleted mails don’t sync across devices, I have to delete emails from a device multiple times before they disappear, I have to force quit the app occasionally to fix display issues, and sometimes the font size randomly changes when writing an email.

If your willing to live with bugs long term, then Polymail is a great app overall with a bunch of useful features.

  • Stress free email

This app is exactly what I was looking for. It was easy to set up and makes tracking and managing my email and tasks effortless.
  • by far the best email client out there

...and I've (not-quite) literally tried them all:
    - Apple Mail
    - Webmail
    - Fancy webmail extensions like Boomerang, Gmelius, etc.
    - Outlook
    - Thunderbird
    - Spark
    - Hey
    - Superhuman
    - Front
    - Newton
    - Mail Butler
    - Airmail
    - Mailbox (RIP)
    - Google Inbox (RIP)
    - and I'm sure I'm missing others...

Even when I try a new one, I always come back to Polymail.

The app slam dunks on both function and form. It's clean, minimal, easy on the eyes, and highly-functional for Inbox Zero. It offers the laundry list of now-standardized features of a productivity-focused mail client, including:
    - snooze
    - schedule send
    - undo send
    - read receipts/activity
    - gmail hotkeys

There is also a KILLER feature that most apps either don't offer, apply sporadically, or charge you an arm and a leg for: automatic email returns to your inbox if you don't get a reply. Most apps that offer this will make you manually choose for an email to be bounced back without a reply, but as a business owner I want this to happen automatically, and Polymail is the only client I've tried that offers this affordably (Mail Butler I think will do this for $50/month). It's now an essential part of my work-flow, and I feel really hamstrung without it!

There are also a host of features available to teams, including Slack/Asana/Salesforce integration, team message templates, mentions, and shared comments on emails.

All in all an amazing mail client. I'm really excited to see what changes and improvements are coming down the pike for them.

  • Revived and amazing!

Omg. This app has been dramatically improved recently and it’s honestly the best email app out there. Top tier functionality and support.
