  • Truly not good

I was on Slack with them when they had the beta version and there were many bugs which was okay then but is not okay now. The app is clunky and things just don't move or feel correct. Like it doesn't feel solid. It's like the buttons are not confident in doing what it's supposed to do. You might have to press twice to make it work and the scrolling might jump around making you feel like you did something wrong. As I watched them get closer to release, still very buggy, they started working on the Pro version and that's when I knew that this was just another group of kids trying to make it rich with a startup. Like how can you expect to make a ton of money if you prioritize getting paid over simple functionality and building a user base? Anyway, I've only ever been annoyed using this app and I don't plan on ever trying it again.

  • 5 star if attachments would upload faster!!

Love how beautifully it organizes my email accounts and the track, remind me later and read later tools are so handy!! Only downside are large attachments take forever to load so I save those for when I can login online.
  • Emails not shown

I tried Polymail a while ago and gave up, today I reinstalled the app for another go. My Gmail accounts are all connected I load and reload the unified inbox and separately the inbox within my most used account on it's own. Initially it said I had reached inbox zero, after reloading the inbox a few time, the app claims I received one email today and one a few days ago.

Load and reload the unified inbox in other emails apps and they displays all the emails I've received today and over the past few days.

    I'm deleting Polymail again.

  • Worthy Mailbox replacement

After Mailbox's demise, I tried quite a few alternatives. Outlook (rubbish in landscape), Mail (can't customise), Airmail (too bulky and slow) and more recently Email (also a worthy Mailbox replacement). I then discovered Polymail and I have been reasonably impressed so far. There a few improvements that could help: customisable Notification sounds and Exchange support but other than that I am happy with this IOS Email client.

  • Unacceptable

The technical support is horrible, the customer service can take over a week to respond at times, the performance starts to drag when you add a number of emails.

The single thing that drove me away from the entire ecosystem, however, was a persistent UI/UX issue on the iOS app that Polymail refuses to fix. In their app, if it is a newsletter, it will give you the option to unsubscribe. Not all emails have the option to unsubscribe, however, so when the option isn’t available, instead of just graying it out, the button just doesn’t show up. What that means is, you have a shifting interface where the delete/unsubscribe buttons regularly change their location. After weeks of accidentally unsubscribing when I merely meant to delete, and multiple emails to support effectively dismissing this, I had no choice but to move on. The app is simply unusable as a quick way to triage those emails because of a fundamnetal UI flaw.

Consistency and predictability are key to an effective UI. When your interface shifts destructive actions that can’t be undone, the interface is not only ineffective, but it becomes a liability.

I can overlook the bugs and performance issues - but when it starts to cost me MORE time and make me afraid to use it, it’s time to move on to something else. Don’t expect them to fix your issues.

  • How you'd think mail should work

This is the first mail application that's made me smile. Finally it's simple to connect accounts!

A pleasure to use - my new 'old faithful' -
  • Beautiful, but with a couple of big flaws

This is, in many ways, my favourite email app. Beautiful to look at, intuitive and a ton of features. The 'unsubscribe' button has saved me so much time and is probably my favourite part. The desktop app syncs seamlessly with this iPhone app. However, its horrible to use to send photos - attaching a photo to an email from my photo library is so slow, I end up giving up and using another email app to do this. Also, there is no way of emptying your 'deleted emails' folder at once - you need to delete them all manually one at a time.

  • Almost Had Me

Almost had me as a paying customer but I can't get through the trial without issues. Customer service is helpful. Here's the thing. They don't tell you up front that you can only edit templates if you have a MAC. It's very buggy, sometimes email addresses disappear in the to field, it takes forever to load attachments, if they load, email signatures don't change per email address, the option is there but the signatures aren't changing when they should. Also expensive for pro compared to other service. I don't think it can handle a lot of email addresses, but that's what it for right? Folders could be better. Pros: does have a nice social media lookup which is similar to Cloze. Organizes your email by sender. I wanted to love this. I'm glad a free trial is offered, otherwise I'd be an unhappy consumer.

  • The Best?

Only just started using Polymer but wanted an email account that looked nice, is easy to use, can can have bespoke email signatures and worked with G Suite. iMail is not very nice and I have put up with it for 12 years. Setting up signatures is hit and miss. Outlook on a Mac or IOS device is fine except using an iMac or MacBook it won't work with G Suite (it does using an IOS device) and logos etc. in signatures disappear.

It seems Polymer fills all the gaps and some more.

  • Very happy

I especially love three elements to the core feature set. The first is the unsubscribe button, which saves precious time in searching for the elusive link in emails. Second, I love how easy it is to delete gmail emails. The native gmail client makes this a PIA because they want to encourage archiving for collecting analytics. Third, I absolutely love the feature for kicking a reminder mail out of my inbox and telling it to come back another predetermined day. The only reason I'm not going with 5 stars though is that the app sometimes doesn't display any or some of my emails. I have either have to restart app or restart device. It's not a show stopper but annoying. Lastly, I do want to plug the support response. Have been happy with how quick I hear back. Want to see this app become mainstream.
