I really want to like this app, BUT

So first week was great. Sadly I can’t get any program to load for the second week. Support for this app seems nonexistent. It’s past the seven day period and I feel kind of ripped off.

Unable to register

The app is keep crashing when I try to register.

Too many glitches

Really wanted to love this app, as it seemed to be exactly what I needed, but there are just too many glitches.

Some of these are absolute showstoppers, like not saying how many reps to do of each exercise.

Fix these and I would absolutely subscribe, but without these fixes it’s frustrating and almost impossible to do a workout.

Just too buggy, slow and clunky

I want to like this. The exercise plans seem well thought out but there are some major flaws with this app.

Current training plan takes far too long to load every time I open the app.

Some videos just don’t work.

You can’t, while the rest timer is on, scroll to see what the next exercise is.

Some exercises suggest a number of reps, some have a timer and some have neither, leaving me scratching my head as to how many to do/how long to keep going

Where there is a timer, it goes straight into the exercise and the time which, given my point above that you can’t scan ahead, means you lose time just getting into position.

There is no way of tracking weights that you use so that next time you know what the next incremental weight up is.

You can select what program you want (beginner, intermediate, advanced) and how many days you want to train, but can’t review the detail of the plan (what exercises will I be doing?) in advance so have to keep assigning new plans to do so. Which means there’s no chance of reviewing an alternative plan when you’ve started one because it would delete your progress.

No blogs since April 2023 so I don’t have high hopes that anyone intends to update the app.

Created by an excellent physiotherapist

The app creator, Sam, is a top physio who is genuinely really passionate about her work. She herself is featured in a lot of the videos and I think her fitness and ability speaks for itself. She has heaps of experience working with elite athletes and is currently the head physio of a prominent sports team. I’d trust her program - she really knows her stuff and she genuinely wants to help people be their best selves.

Meh

App sometimes just gets stuck loading and doesn’t work

Love it but app crashes a lot

Love the app but it crashes very often :(

Amazing if it worked technically

I did this for 1 week and then the app stopped working. I am so sad as this was a perfect action to running. I have tried re installing this without luck. Going to have to cancel my subscriptions.

No free content to try

While configuring app itself showing subscriptions to try otherwise delete is the only option. No free content

Great App!

I have found this app very useful for being able to fit in some strengthening sessions when I don’t have time to go the gym in between work and family life. I feel that it has also really helped improve my running. Would definitely recommend!

Amazing app for increasing my strength for running!

This has been an amazing app for increasing my strength and prioritising rehab for my running. Often it is easy to neglect these things and just go for that run! But I have found this app is great at walking you through exercises and keeping you accountable. Bonus is it is super easy to use 👍

Running strong

Nice app for runners of all abilities!

Essential for any runner

This app is the perfect strength training app for runners. The personalized workout plans are highly effective in helping me improve my strength and reduce the risk of injury. I've noticed a significant improvement in my running performance since incorporating this app into my training routine.

Good potential, but needs work

I like being told exactly what to do while working out, and how long to do it for, so I was excited to see this app while searching for strength training for runners. I am getting back into running and need something to help on the non-run days.

This app has great ideas. It lets you decide between 3 and 5 days, what level you want to start (beginner, intermediate or expert) and whether you are home are the gym. Then it plans out your exercises with a 30 second break. I thought the price was reasonable too. I started at a month for $6.99 USD with a week free trial.

The actual workout though is where I have my biggest issues. First, it has the warm up, but on the workout preview page it says do the warm up twice. On the actual workout is just says “warm up 1 round”. Also, you do a warm up for 30 seconds and then rest for 30 seconds, but your eyes have to be glued to the screen because there’s no beep to tell you it’s time to rest.
The last exercise on the warm up was a leg swing, but there was no indication on when you change legs, and after doing 30 seconds on one leg and resting it just went to the next exercise. So I went back to the video to do my other leg, then it moved on after.
The first “workout” part were bridges. The workout said 10 reps, but the example video showed was going really slow. When I tried to match the pace (with my phone in my hands over my head to not miss that rest), i got through 4 before it said to rest.
Then there was another 1 leg exercise with no indication on which leg, or how much, or reps?
After the workout videos went through 1 round it just went straight to the stretches (again, no indication on which leg or if I should switch midway through the time).
When I’m working out, I don’t have my phone constantly in my hands. Not having a beep for the rest is frustrating. But, also trying to figure out when to scroll back to get the 2nd round, and constantly going back and forth on my phone isn’t realistic.
I was really excited about this app, but I’m not even going to make it through the free trial. It has great potential, but I need easy to use, and this app is not easy to use during my work out.

I was really excited about this

Weekend warrior

Got back into running to help with my mental health and to help get through long office days. This app was recommended to me and what a game changer for my lunchtime workouts. I’m feeling great when I’m doing my runs now.

Good cross training app for runners

Good app for runners. Recommended by someone in the Venice run club. Helping me stay out of the doctors office.

Charged during free trial period

This app said 7 day trial was free before I would be charged~ I purposely canceled the subscription at 4 days and still got charged for the month- RIP OFF!
The reason I canceled was because the app was always buffering/ re setting during the workouts, it was very frustrating!!

Incredible App!!!

After multiple running related injuries a physio recommended I try this app and it has been the best thing I’ve ever done! I have not only increased my time but also my distance and haven’t had an injury since using this app! I have told all my friends about it and they all love it too. Great content and super easy to use.

Love this app

Easy to use app which is improving my running. Professional techniques which help with my running and recovery.

Love the videos! Really good for running exercises at all stages

This app has been amazing to use as a seasoned runner who’s just gone through a hamstring tear a few weeks back. Going through the recent experience made me motivated to increase my core strength, which lead me to me researching which apps were great for videos for runners and came across 10W2S. Been really happy so far and there a many videos you can watch and progress with as you improve.
