Sad Customer

$60 a year is pretty high for an app, better off using Sky scanner. Going to loose a lot of customers unfortunately. Make it affordable, I doubt more than 60% of your subscribers have $60 a year to give out.

Free portion is almost useless

I understand this is a business, but when the free part doesnโ€™t allow you to change a single filter, itโ€™s hard to really attempt to evaluate the app.

App Does Not Work With New Update New Bug???

This app worked fine for me a week ago -Doesnโ€™t work now since I updated it today 6/2/19 The only info it gives me now is that for $59 I can upgrade and I can have a free trial for a week. Neither of which I want to do at this moment. I even deleted the app and re uploaded. There seems to be a bug in this new update

Free for years, now $60 annually?

Really unfortunate that they changed the pricing model. Iโ€™ve used this app for years... Ranted and raved about it to move people that I can even remember to recommend they also download it. I get that nothing is free these days, but $60 is pretty steep.

No Longer Free

So I get it. Everyone wants a buck. This app was awesome, when it was free but now they are asking us to pay $60 - just to browse "cheap" flights.
Not gonna do that. Here's why...

1. Although the flights are super affordable, they are often with airlines that aren't the best. Spirit, Jet blue, delta, American Airlines, etc. and

2. I've definitely have found cheaper flights using google flights, southwest, or just looking on Expedia or Priceline. So, I'm not going to pay you just to BROWSE - prices that aren't always the cheapest.

But I do understand, you have to earn a living and so I get it. But I just wanted to share, I don't see enough value in it to PAY for the app. Maybe if things change - I would. Who knows! Just my two cents.

Response from developer

Hi there. It's not so much that we want to make a buck, as it is that we want to survive as a company. Free isn't a great model for that, especially when people browse, we incur data costs for that browsing, but then they book elsewhere. So, for $5/mo you get to save hundreds of dollars potentially on each trip booked, and we get to eat. Thank you!

Lost interest..

Been using this app for awhile and now they want a subscription fee?! Thatโ€™s wild but some companies are just greedy and want to take everything they can from the consumers

Response from developer

Hi there. I'm not sure it's so much greediness, as simple economics. Our data isn't free. We have to buy it at extreme cost. Our employees also want to eat. When people use our app for free, then book elsewhere, not only do we not make money, we lose it. This model, $5/mo, helps us be able to cover our costs while saving you potentially hundreds on every trip booked.

Used to be free

...

$60 a year?!?!

This used to be the best flight app out there, but all of a sudden with the latest update they now want me to pay $60/year to use it. Delete...

Too expensive to use

All of a sudden youโ€™re charging $60 and without having a lot of control over search options? I take only 1 vacay per year, and will not pay that fee. Iโ€™ll do my own research, thank you very much. Soon there will be others happy to replace your once pretty decent app.

New Fee!! Annual subscription fee to use!!

I wouldโ€™ve given the app five stars however Iโ€™ve been using this app for the last 2 1/2 years and today before I can use the app I was told now there is a fee to subscribe to be able to use the app all of a sudden and itโ€™s almost $60 USD. Since when and why? It use to be FREE!! Why wasnโ€™t there some type of notice that that would happen they give you seven days for free subscription after that you will be charged??? Iโ€™m only going to use it six more days unfortunately this is a sad change.

Hi Tyesha, thanks for your support over the past 2 1/2 years. Fareness has extreme data costs, but we don't get paid when people browse our app but book elsewhere. So, that free model unfortunately wasn't sustainable. For $5/mo, you get the full power of the app to potentially save hundreds of dollars on every trip you book, and you can book wherever you'd like. That way, we cover our costs, and you still save money.
