Changed my mind
I wrote a review a few months back about how much I loved the app and how unobtrusive the upgrade prompts are, and they immediately switched to a very annoying (and misleading) daily countdown to try to strongarm me into an annual subscription. I’m sorry but this app is not worth $75 CAD/year (seriously are you out of your minds? It’s a colourful checklist). I liked that this was a simple and straightforward app that was pleasant to use, and I don’t want badges or prizes or achievements to unlock. I would like to continue using it as I have been - happily and for several years - without these pressure tactics or unnecessary bells and whistles.

I paid a one-time $7 premium upgrade in 2019 and have been using the app off & on since then. Now, all of a sudden with no warning, since the latest upgrade, I’m getting a nag screen every time I open the app that “minimizes” to take up space on the bottom of my screen trying to up-sell me to Premium which I already purchased long ago. Not only that, but the app is now slow/jumpy/doesn’t scroll quickly like it used to. When I try to contact support, I get no response. I liked the app for its simplicity and tracking but it’s not something I’m going to pay $60 for. I don’t even understand the pricing listed as it still lists a $9 One-Time Premium Upgrade. But I already paid that in 2019. So why would I pay for the app AGAIN when it doesn’t even perform as well? Plus just because the company decides to go with a subscription model, doesn’t mean it shouldn’t honor previous purchases. I WON’T be paying to upgrade. The app will be deleted soon if the nag screen continues and my previous purchase is not honored.

long time user - disappointed
i’ve been using done for YEARS, i track my entire life on it and i need to do so as i have a lot of health issues and a poor memory. it’s suddenly gone from being a one off premium payment to $98 A YEAR. this is outrageous. i’m not able to work due to aforementioned issues so there’s no way i can afford that. on top of that, they’ve throttled the app so that if you don’t upgrade to the new subscription then the app is too slow to function… so i haven’t been able to track things the last few days. sadly i’ll have to find a different, less expensive app and somehow move all my habits over.

App developers are scammers
Bought the premium version of the app for the one time purchase option that was available at the time. They’ve now introduced a subscription model, removed most of the functionality that I had with my existing version (for example, can’t add more than 3 habits), and constantly keep trying to get me to sign up for their subscription model….all of this for what is a very basic app. How is this even legal?

I liked this app, but now…
I have been really enjoying this app, finding it useful and using it every day.
Since the 3.0 update 2 months ago I have had an issue with the main screen not showing the correct progress for my weekly goals (I have my week set as starting Monday instead of the Sunday default). Also, when I enter info for a goal with a custom count, an extra entry is being added by the app.
I have contacted support 4 times and have had no response from them and the bugs are not fixed with the updates.
And now my previously purchased one time upgrade to premium has been revoked and I’m being forced to enter into an extremely overpriced annual subscription.
I’m very disappointed with these recent happenings.

Scammers
I tried to add a new habit only to find out that it wants me to subscribe to a monthly or yearly plan. I purchased the premium version of this app a few years ago as a one-time payment. Now, it says I need to subscribe. Rip off.
I payed the 1 time fee. Why am I now forced to pay yearly?
I payed for the premium one time fee a few years back. Why am I now forced to pay 79$ a year for this…. Sad.
Avoid app - No support for paid version of app
Beware before spending your money on this app. Support is non existent. Look elsewhere for a habit tracker app that you purchase if support matters to you. For some reason the developer of this app is obsessed with doing complete overhauls of the app for what appears to be no gain to its users other that introducing bugs. This used to be an excellent app during the version 1 releases. Then version 2 and 3 releases followed with major bugs that in some cases still haven’t been fixed. One other major change is the developers obsession with using the smallest possible fonts everywhere. Earlier versions had clear large fonts that made it easy for users to use and interact with the app. Again if someone is paying for an app you would think that the developer would provide some level of support. Any message that get sent to the developer reporting bugs never get a response. All other paid apps from the app store have someone that responds to support messages and address bug reports. Hoping the developer sees this message and posts a response on why there is zero support response offered to those who paid for the app.

Non-functioning, developer ignores users
I started out loving this app; I paid for the premium ages ago, and enjoyed the app updates. However I second other reviews - the latest updates have broken the functioning of the app. Any time you click on a habit, even if you close the counter box, it adds a count. Pretty much defeats the purpose of a habit tracker if the app is always adding an extra count that I have to manually remove each time. On a personal note, I really dislike not being able to swipe between days anymore; the UI just adds additional steps to change the date - as another user mentions, it’s like the updates have taken the app backwards!
The latest updates have removed features that are working well, and ignored features that are not functioning.
I’ve emailed the developer directly and responded to their request for footage; I’ve had no response. It saddens me that there is no indication anything will be fixed; I really loved this app but will have to move to another one.

Updates have made it worse!
I loved this app and still use it daily. However, I’m considering finding something else since the updates that have been made have made it less usable! It’s a shame!
I can no longer add monthly or yearly goals, (eg. Wash car once a month, or Go to Dentist twice a year). This was a big pull for me as, as a woman, I like to plan things on a monthly basis according to my energy levels through the month. Weekly doesn’t work for me.
I really hope you rethink this as I know a lot of women are increasingly beginning to plan in this way. The fact this app allowed for monthly planning was a big pull for me!
On another note, the fact you cannot choose the habits that are shown on the widget is really annoying.
Also the monochrome widget option shown in the photos on the App Store doesn’t seem to be an option for me. Which is misleading and frustrating as it’s much more aesthetically pleasing than the coloured widget.
Overall, used to be a great app, but please reconsider the changes! And update the widgets.
