  • Almost great, but there's a nasty bug

The new word definition box is a huge improvement, but whenever you close it it just reappears as soon as you scroll even a little. This obscures a huge part of the news article, forcing you to close it repeatedly as you read.

  • JLPT Section Not Working

Before upgrade of the permanent premium, the JLPT section did not work. It says no data found and asked me to try again.
However, even after the upgrade to permanent premium, the JLPT section still does not work.
It keeps saying “no data found. You need to connect to the network and revisit...”.
What can I do about it? Can the developer help? How to contact the customer service? Can I get a refund?

  • Exactly what I’m looking for to pass the N2

There might be a few kinks with some the automated translations /JLPT level tags, but the dev team seems pretty dedicated. It is quite impressive in the scope of what it does. This is exactly the sort of Japanese extensive reading app I’ve been looking for. I prefer to toggle the furigana off to practice my kanji and like how I can translate text / pull up readings on the fly. Love the vocabulary lists generated for the articles. Built in dictionary with grammar is a definite plus. Having access to the practice tests in the same app is just icing on top. One thing I would like to see is a few comprehension questions for the articles, but not sure how they could do that with the constant flow of new articles.

Premium is definitely worth it. Get rid of the ads, get more tests / features, take it offline and on the go.

Had some difficulty with the cross app login, but the support were quick to solve the issue. They’re friendly and care about their users.

  • Beware the 5 star ratings

This app limits the number of articles you can see a day and it forces you to pay to get an offline dictionary - there are other apps which don’t do this. In addition, the cross selling off other apps is intrusive. Look elsewhere.

hello, please update the latest version on the store to fix it, thanks
  • The best for learning Japanese

I never knew about this app until someone mentioned in a blog that caught my attention. Thought, let’s have a look.
After a few clicks going through the materials and setting, it took no time to decide this is the best for learning Japanese and the price is absolutely reasonable especially for the “life membership”. Thank you and bow to the developer!!!

  • The audio disappeared

I can no longer listen to the news because the audio buttons are gone. Please help to restore them.
    Thank you.
  • Hell yeah!

Never in my wildest dreams did I even conceive of finding such a powerful, multi-functional, but simple, well-organised and engaging app for intermediate learners of Japanese and up — let alone a free one!
    I’m flabbergasted!

  • Amazing app

This app has everything you could possibly want in a reader app. It also has a beautiful UI. The dictionary feature is also really nice because you can search for images and grammar points as well.
  • Great app for Japanese learning

This is a great app if you want to learn Japanese. It is very comprehensive and well designed. It has a built in dictionary, which translates to your set language and audio to all the news articles many more.

I wish it would support the share screen feature on iPad Pro so I can more easily learn while taking notes on another app.
