It's a nice little app. A little repetitive for me....but that's not to say it wouldn't be beneficial for a beginner. I'm going to keep at it for a while and see where it takes me. Will update on progress
New User - Fair to Good
I like how the lessons are structured. I think this app will be helpful towards my playing progress. Are there any plans to make the app cross platform? I've signed up with my email, so should have an account, but when I log into my iPad it does not have my progress on that device. I'd like to be able to use this on my iPhone or iPad. Please let me know if this is forthcoming.

Hi Sprote, thanks for asking. Yes it is, we are already working on a synchronization feature so you can switch devices while you practice. Currently the progress is synchronized on a weekly basis. So you can switch devices after you completed a practice sheet without any issues.
Good learning tool
I.ve using the app for a couple days and do really like so far, i never use and app like that before. I will submit another review in a couple weeks
Don't pay attention to negative reviews!
First of all, thanks to the developers for putting this app together, not to mention for FREE!! I'd like to say that guitar playing, like any other artistic skill, is a result of the effort and passion that you put into learning it. I've read some of the negative reviews and comments and I'm certain that a majority of the people who have left them are looking for miracle app that will magically allow them to suddenly be able to play the latest boy band hit or Taylor Swift song and this app isn't going to do that for it's users. That being said, I've been wanting to find an app to help me structure my valuable practice time to help me carry my guitar playing skills to the next level and I believe I have found it in this app. To the developers: Thanks again and ignore all of the haters/posers!!

Higher difficulty
This has been said before, but the highest difficulty is extremely easy still. the app itself though is clean and easy to use, I'm just waiting for some harder material
Horrible
This App was painful to use to say the least. I consider myself a pretty competent guitarist and when I did the test to measure the speed and clarity of my playing it states that it takes you maximum speed and the next few exercises are played at 33% of your maximum speed. It scored me at 49bpm, that means the next exercises metronomes were set to 16bpm! Now I don't know whether it was the type of guitar I was using or the tuning or the microphone on my iPad or what, but 16bpm was so slow I just could not bring myself to even care to continue the exercise. I thought I would just change the tempo and speed things up a little to a more comfortable speed, but there seemed to be no option for this. I had to delete the App reinstall it and do the test again, same speed issue. Until there is a way to modify tempo or give clear instructions on how to before the tempo test better, there is no place on my device for this App.

Hi, I am sorry that you have issues with the tempo detection. We're working on improving it right now. There's an option to manually adjust the measured speed in the process of speed detection though. Very Good Coach
Note: Please don't think too highly of yourself when you plan to input your expertise level. Otherwise, you'll just end up hating the app because it's suggesting stuff that's too hard for you to pull off because of the input you made. A little modesty goes a long way.
I've tried a good few of these guitar coach apps but this one seems to work out the best for me. I'm an intermediate and the second I put in my level it immediately showed stuff that I have been willing to learn for quite some time now. My only problem was that I needed a structured schedule and this app provided one for me. No fuss, metronome included, good exercises, great open-ended jam tracks, and all-round greatness.

I'm not really sure I know exactly what I'm doing, it sort of feels like I'm just wandering around the app with no basis to what I'm doing, not to mention that the app is glitchy and is obviously not finished. 3 stars out of 5. 1 star for UI + 1 star for ease of access + 1 for free app 2 stars missing for unfinished app and unclear directions.

Great for beginners and as a refresher!
I've only been through a few sessions so far. I think this app is perfect for beginners and people who need a refresher, experienced players might find it mundane. It also helps when people take the time to understand the concept of this app. I think it is a great tool to assist along with regular lessons from someone. I've have been playing guitar for over 13 years and downloaded it just to see how it works, I will complete all of the sessions. I definitely recommend it!
