Sorry developer, not going to use Facebook or email just to see the App.

Developers should NOT require registration ("friction") to just get into an App. I don't want to share my email or personal information BEFORE looking at your App. There's absolutely nothing before registration to figure out what you're all about. Obviously you know users are going to drop and you want some way to keep bugging them.

Great app for all skill levels

Love the intuitive and seamless experience for various skill levels and the fact that it automatically listens to what you're playing and recognizes progress! 5 *

Garbage

No mention of any music theory, amazingly dumb interface, and frustrating to use.

I tried to like it and it is just not the right tool for anyone learning to play guitar. I have played for 10+ years and know a thing or two but this app will teach you nothing of value. You ought to just download a metronome app and practice scales on your own if this is the competition.

Not bad, but lots of room for improvement

This could be a great app. I sure hope they read these reviews and take them to heart.

It's not always 100% clear what you're supposed to be doing in the exercises... Most frustratingly: I was trying to complete one of the tempo detection exercises and for some reason I got distracted, and it registered me as only able to play the scare VERY, VERY slowly. And it LOCKS you into that tempo for the rest of the session. I ended up having to abandon that session entirely because it was forcing me to practice the scales and an unbearably slow tempo. You don't seem to have the ability to manually adjust the practice tempo. Very frustrating!

Response from developer

Hi Tofe, thanks for your feedback and sorry for the inconvenience. After each tempo detection there's an option to adjust the tempo manually. For now, you can just write us an email to support@fretello.com and we'll fix the tempo for you manually. We are constantly improving our app so we appreciate any feedback we get from our users. Thank you very much!

Incomplete

It's good, but like others say, I have no way to reference what tempo the app wants me to play. It's an amazing concept, but I would like a visual representation of the tempo.

Response from developer

Hi Calskin, can you provide more details about the requirement you mentioned and write us an email to support@fretello.com? We're constantly trying to improve the app so it is important for us to include feature requests from our customers.

So far so good

I'd definitely like to see a visual representation of the click track as I found that once off time it was a bit weird getting back into the rhythm, playing along with metronomes isn't a new concept to me. Other then that I really liked the structure of the intermediate section, I love the no frills and rather to the point interface, there's little distraction and keeps you focused on one thing...practice. I joined the monthly sub and I'm looking forward to seeing this app grow.

Cool app so far.

Really liking this so far, though I'd like to see some sort of visual representation or what beat of a bar is being represented by the click track, or some sort of accent to better display which beat/click defines the start of the measure. Finding if I slip up it's hard the tell which specific beat I'm on, and the get started again at the next measure. I can watch for the next measure dash to trigger, but that puts me a little behind on the next Measure too.

Outside of that one change, great app so far.

Very annoying

It is not possible to skip a session or change the speed of practice manually. When these issues resolved it can be a great app.

Response from developer

Hi Alborz, we are already working on that feature. It will be available shortly. We've already improved tempo estimation, which allows you to define your practice tempo more accurately.

Utter rubbish

This app doesn't offer anything, and also crashes. I learned more from YouTube.

Response from developer

Hi Arcadius, since we launched last year, we've provided a large amount of improvmenets and fresh content to the app. We'd be happy if you want to give it another chance.
