I’ve always struggled to read notes. I play by ear mostly, but I’ve always wanted to learn. I use this app in conjunction with lessons through another app, and it’s helping me recognize notes more easily. I really like that I can focus on learning the note positions on the staff only, and without needing to be around my piano. I can practice reading anytime anywhere.

Great App!
I just started taking piano lessons and learning to read music. I am so happy I found this app. After using the free version for 5 minutes I knew this was the perfect app to supplement my lessons so I paid for the premium version. I use it all the time. It is extremely convenient to get on it and go through several lessons in just a few minutes. My ability to read notes has improved significantly in just a few days of using it. If you are learning to read music, get the app. You will not be disappointed.

My music literacy improved quickly and noticeably
More helpful than I expected, easy to follow and the ability to repeat each course as many time as you like really helps with retention. The rating of each lesson kind of feels like a game that I really want to win and it helps me to gauge if I’m ready to take on the next piece of information without sacrificing the last. Highly recommend.

Unable to use instrument with app
Great app that leads you through the notes and helps you learn quickly. However I purchased the app so that I could learn the notes with my Saxophone but the app fails to recognise any notes. I’ve emailed the developer using the support email address but had no response. It would be great if the developer could reach out to me on the back of this as I need not have purchased the app based on current limitations.

Hello, thank you for your review. I recently changed my technical support software. I seem to be losing messages since I did not receive your message. I will try to look into this as soon as possible. Please feel free to send me your e-mail again. When there are problems with instrument recognition, it is often a transposition problem. Go to the settings tab, then on the transposition menu. If you're playing alto saxophone, you should set it like that : Octave : -1 Tonality : Eb Please contact me again at ntyr.studio@gmail.com. Finally learning to sight read!
I took piano lessons for 10 years as a kid, starting at age 5. I had a great teacher and her lessons included music theory and note reading, but I never was able to learn to sight read, I always had to use the mnemonic devices to figure out the notes and then write them on my sheet music. This app is great, it teaches you one note at a time and even lets me play it on my piano to respond! It’s way more affordable than the other piano apps I’ve tried. After one day I already learned notes A through G around middle C. Finally after all these years I’m learning to sight read! 😄

Really good way to learn which notes are which. It‘s simple to learn how to use and you can really see your own improvement.
I personally prefer to use the button input method, where you see a note on the stave and select the corresponding note name, since I want to be able to look at sheet music and know what to play straight away.
For the price, this app is easily worthwhile.

The Best App to Learn Music Notes
As a 60+ year old who has never previously studied music, I have found this app to be most effective in terms of improving my ability to recognise notes. It provides opportunity for revision to consolidate my knowledge and scaffolds me to mastery with the appropriate level of challenge. Precisely what I have needed. Great for my brain dendrites too! I will soon be able throw away the pencil and just recognise the note!

Great way to learn sheet music
I am a beginner player and this app is so helpful in training my sheet music reading skills. Highly recommend it! I have been using it for a few days and already see a huge difference.
A great way to learn the notes
I’m an older person trying to learn something new, so I chose the piano. Even though I’m taking lessons, I needed something to help me learn the notes. I like that it is timed because I need to be able to read them fluently while playing the piano. I love games and this one feels like one. So practicing while having fun. This is helping tremendously. Highly recommend
