  • Honestly just why

    Apartment complex recently installed these on all units and it’s literally the worst. No one likes it. So now instead of just using a key to get in, you have to open the app which you usually have to re-sign into, wait for it to slowly load, unlock the door in the terribly designed interface in the app, wait for it to connect then it unlocks it finally. Also each time you lock and unlock the door it yells “lock” and “unlock” not sure about other places but the only way to get in for these apartments is through the app so if your phone dies, don’t have your phone, or have kids that don’t have a smart phone basically there’s no way of getting in. Truly the opposite of innovation, creating a problem out of something that wasn’t a problem to begin with.

    I am a property manager at an apartment complex and we utilize this for all of our doors including unit doors. I really do like it so far because it’s handy not to need a key. The only things is that if your connection isn’t great, it can be a little bit slower sometimes or if you haven’t updated your phone. However, I appreciate that they are always accepting of feedback, and always working to better their application. If I ever have an issue the director of client services is super super quick to get it fixed and always responds in a matter of minutes. He’s also great with explaining the processes so you understand the app better.
  • New Geokey User

    First time user with this company and so far it is very very good. Only issue we have had is signing up users that didn’t in their initial 72 hr window, but Geokey’s Tech Support has been spot on every time and gotten it fixed. Liking what we’ve seen so far and even ordered more locks.
  • Easy and intuitive

    Our neighborhood rolled out the Geokey Bluetooth lock system on our gates by our pool area. We have residents of all ages and it seems like everyone was able to follow the prompts to download and verify their email and begin using the app. I have found it very easy. The support for the Geokey folks when setting up the database and launching the new locks was superb! They were very quick to answer support questions. When using the app the in app support is very timely!! Most of our glitches were either user error, not having Bluetooth enabled or having to refresh the devices. All easy fixes with solid support from Geokey! Glad we made this move to the proximity locks!
  • Dangerous app

    If you don’t have a backup key, then a rapist or bad person trying to hurt you will have the upper hand. Our apartments don’t supply us with alternative keys and this thing fails constantly. Locking you out. God forbid there’s a fire and a loved one is inside sleeping and you can’t get to them in time….
  • Horrible

    This app is an absolute atrocity. I love having to wait outside of my apartment building while the app just opens and closes, forcing me to delete it and redownload.

  • Too bad Zero starts isn’t an option

    This is a terrible app! It is constantly failing, it seems to have an “update” every other week. Every time it updates we have to delete then reinstall the app! We are constantly getting locked out of our apartments because the app “fails” when you try and open it. Anyone who is giving this app more than 1 star probably works for the company or it’s a bot!!

  • Completely Unreliable

    Our developer insisted on using this app for our building and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been locked out of my building.

  • Functional, affordable security

    Using this app in conjunction with a lockbox for storing controlled drugs at a vet clinic. Love the ability to set different access options for different levels of employees, can monitor all accesses, and administrator can override remotely in an emergency. Price was much more in line with our budget than a Cubex. App is very simple to use, the only “gripe” we have is the lag time it takes for Bluetooth to recognize and open the safe, although the cubex would have had a similar timeframe for other reasons, so in the large scheme of things, it’s not a problem. Very happy with our choice so far!
  • Trash System

    Works less than it does. When we use this system it’s more common to get a “Failed” response than “success”
