Game controls stop working
I’ll play the game and suddenly all the controls lock up and my character won’t move. I can’t pick anything up and they just stand there. I have to quit then reload the game from my last checkpoint in order to get the controls to work. Super frustrating, it’s a shame because it’s a great game. I Love DST, but shipwrecked, not so much
Don’t Starve is a great game, and even this DLC is virtually the same as the computer or console versions. However, this DLC only offers one game play mode, when you die, game over, begin again. Considering how long it take to move from island to island I personally feel this penalties is too harsh and prevents me from getting into the game. Don’t starve app has a no sweat mode, why not this one?
Also I’d appreciate being able to use my Bluetooth controller, I can on Don’t Starve, but not here.Show lessKeiristy
Home Sea Home!
When did you sneak in the Home Sea Home update?! I could swear I checked the update notes every time because I'm one of the weirdos who actually like the iOS interface a lot, and I've been really sad that I couldn't play Shipwrecked on iOS because the Home Sea Home content is so, so important.
So, yay! It's here at last!
(Although it looks like some minor things are still a bit buggy -- Walani's descriptions of most of the new content are "It's a...thing", which is afaik the default "oops, we forgot to put in a description of this" description -- I have not run into any real problems yet, although I just noticed this yesterday so I'm only a few hours in.)Show lesstigercait
Dragging and placing
Make how it is on regular don’t starve pe where the item you want to use is above your finger when you drag it around the screen not right on it. It makes it hard to place stuff symmetrical and good looking
And other than that I love the game. (But maybe make the seaworthy actually functional if you own both versions of the game;). )Show lessalexthemanban
Great, but bugs.
I love this game. Very fun. There is the one bug in particular the is VERY VERY annoying. I don’t know how you really activate the bug, something to do with using the inventory and moving items, but when it happens the character just completely freezes. You can’t move, use items, craft items, use the map, or do anything. All you can do is zoom out, which is kinda weird. You can’t even save and quit to the main menu, so I am forced to exit out of the whole game and when I go back in, usually a lot of progress is lost, about a whole day. It is very annoying and I can do nothing to avoid it. Please please fix it, because I keep losing progress. Thank you.Show lessAngryMobileGameNerd
Annoying Bugs
First of all, I want to say this game has amazing graphics! It’s beautiful and adventurous. The only thing that keeps it from a 5 star is that in the middle of playing the game would freeze and won’t let me do anything. The bug keeps on annoying me. Overall the game is perfect.CrafterPusheen
Don’t starve
I want to point out that eating is way too slow. There should be some way to avoid having to tap middle bar every time to eat. Same goes for adding fuel any other way. Still love the game, and want to see some improvements.Nefariousssss
I wish I could give it more stars, BUT...
Sigh, ok, I like this game. I do. But there seems to quite a few problems with it.
See, there’s this glitch in one of my plays where it’s just hot ALL THE TIME. And it’s not even summer! In fact, I think I customized it specifically so it wouldn’t have seasons, so I could explore the game without having to worry about the cold, the wet, and the heat. I could just explore the game and what it had to offer. I could deal with the seasons at a later time when I’m more familiar with that game, but having to deal with heat WHEN I ASKED FOR NO HEAT is really tedious.
Also, not to mention, I think some knight boats randomly spawned near my base for some reason even though I asked for fewer. It’s good to have them for gears I guess, ya know, to make a fridge and stuff, but they’re in the way of the island where I kept my Doy doys! There’s like, three of them there and I don’t know why! I’m pretty sure they weren’t there when I first discovered the island, so I’m not sure why they’re there now!
Further more, there are more glitches that need to be fixed but I don’t think I have room to put them all here. Overall, great game, but needs work.Show lessLeira Whiteheart
Loving Everything OTHER THAN the BUGS!
Firstly, let me say that this game is beautiful. The design is stunning and the scenery is also. The characters have their own styles and “voice” which is typically the music.
Secondly, I would also say that the journey is a very fun one. It’s adventurous. I use it as a challenge to see how many days I can survive and to dig out the secrets. I want to unlock and discover everything. Maybe there’s a way to escape? Maybe not? Only as the days continue, Will I probably find out.
Lastly, the bugs. It’s terrible. I would give it five stars but I my character glitching in the game as my days get longer. The music starts to get all disoriented and that’s not just from losing my sanity. My sanity can be perfectly fine but the music isn’t. Then the colors start to fade, which is annoying because everything goes to a gray color. The birds don’t even sound like birds anymore. Even when I close out the game and open it again, it fixes it for a while and then it goes back to crap again. Please fix.
Other than this, I would recommend to anyone looking for a challenge within a stunning game.Show less_Mad Potato_
Addicting, Amazing, and utterly frustrating from dying all the time
This game is very, very fun. I lay it on my iPad and I don’t see anything wrong with it. You don’t even need wifi! The graphics are smooth and the animations are cool, so I would really suggest this game or maybe any don’t starve.Lucaso1015
