  • Great game ... but ...

Like everything else they have mastered the ability to over charge on everything. I have no problem paying money for games. I have no problem spending $60 on a game I would really enjoy even if it’s an app (hours per enjoyment). What bothers me is the fact that this game doesn’t allow you to pay for the full experience. They charge you for every little thing. So unless you have hours upon hours to wait per level or event, etc. the only way to enjoy this full time is to spend a lot of money.
If you’re looking for a casual game to play here and there then it’s great and free. But if you start playing and really enjoy it beware you’ll be charged a lot of money if you want to level up or not wait to play the next maps/areas.

If they charged 1/4th the cost I’d have no problem spending money. But at the rates they have right now it’s absolutely crazy!

  • I want to love this game

This game has very good features! The strategy needed to over come each rooms challenges is very fulfilling. Building your team and getting better members and abilities is great. Even having to farm for better hero’s is not as tedious as some games.

It’s biggest problem is the fact that I cannot play more of it. The “Intel” or credits needed to play missions accrue so slowly that that after 20 or 30 mins of play you are stuck playing another game. The developers have balanced game play so that pay to win players are not so strong it is not fun for players who have a smaller budget, which is refreshing. However there is just not enough activities to keep a player engaged. I would like to spend more money on it, but I am not going to dump money into a game I can only play 30 mins a day. Either intel credits need to generate faster or other side activities are needed to keep a player engaged. Games are supposed to distract me from dead time not create more.

All the building blocks of a great game are here, it just needs more of it.

Hello Suebthomas! Thank you for giving ACR a try and for your constructive feedback. A lot is still in the works and we take players' feedback to heart when it comes to planning for the future. Thanks!
  • Enjoyable and fun

I love the way the game does simple things. Most games when you want to build or upgrade a room or unlock something takes time for it to build. You've already spend the time gathering resources and then you have to wait more for building. But not in this one and I think for that fact alone this game is worth five stars. But it has so much more to offer. The unique puzzles and paths you can take on a map is unlike any other game I've played on the phone. And yeah this is a very enjoyable phone game! You can play it for ten minutes when you have time or sit down and play it for an hour. You'll have the resources to do that and they're pretty easy to come by even when you aren't paying for the subscription. Yes this game has some in app purchases but you don't need them. And there's no online so you don't have to be worried that your going to be squashed by someone who's payed to win. Overall this game is fun fresh and ready for anyone

  • The daily grind

I’m a big fan of Assassin’s Creed so naturally I had to get this. More tower game than adventure but the mission animations are fun. Each character is different enough to have a good mix. It’s cool to see icon characters from the series like Claudia and Uncle Mario, but getting enough DNA to unlock and “promote” them is such a grind! This game is free so purchases are to be expected but man, it feels impossible to get the Legendaries like Ezio, Kassandra and Alexios and cube sets are just too expensive. Probably should be two or three stars for that but I give it four because of the event bonuses and the mission gameplay is really fun. The AUTO and fast forward buttons are nice for a fast-paced and sometimes comical mission play through. Train those assassins in the training rooms for a grind and then get those daily bonuses in Objectives. Still love this game, just not quite five stars though. Btw, Tariq is awesome with an axe 😜

  • Constantly Crashes

On an iPhone 6 with the most recent iOS installed. Game crashes every 60 seconds. Looks like it could be fun but it’s just not playable at this point. Will update rating once the crashing issue is fixed.

Update: game crashes have significantly dropped. Only happens a couple times now during attempting to find DNA from the character screen. Other than that no more crashes so I can enjoy the game now.

Game itself is pretty fun, though it is all chance based depending on your character level, so not much player skill is needed, but I am still finding the game enjoyable.

Don’t expect this to be a game you can get everything you want immediately. Yes, there are power walls but over time you can build up your power level. Welcome to mobile gaming to all those complaining about this. Game is very fun to pick up for 10-20 minutes and come back to it in an hour or so. This is not a sit down and play all day type of game, so perfect for people who have a life and don’t sit on their phones all day.

Only complaint is the level rushing once you 3 star a level. Star Wars galaxy of hero’s does rushing well. I understand that would make the medicine worthless then, but maybe make a “heal all” button and/or offer more medicine? The faster people run out of energy the more likely they will buy more, right? :-)

  • Grind and Pay to win

It’s a great game when you start out you’re having fun but when you get to that region 2 and only have a few 2 star characters and maybe 1 3 star then it gets really difficult, some levels jump from 270 power to 490 (not exact but something like that) and if you don’t wanna grind countless missions to maybe get ONE character then it just gets boring and it’s like you hit a big wall and the only way to knock it down is with buying there currency to get loot crates and the system to get them is a grind within its self so I hope they tweak it to make it easier to get them, if it was a bit easier early game then after you get to region 3 or 4 then it gets a bit more tougher but the mid game (region 2) is such a grind that it doesn’t make he game fun anymore so I hope you guys can make the game more rewarding or easier to complete stuff without spending 4 or 5 hours just to get your character to star 2 or 3

  • Love this game, but want more assassins

I love this game, I love the AC universe and lore and this game allows me to get my AC fix on the go. My only complaint is that there aren’t that many main assassins, particularly from the more recent AC installments - like Odyssey or Origins. I’d love to find and collect DNA for Bayek, Kassandra, Alexios and even other favorites like Connor from AC3. I’d love to see how the story and lore would play out if these characters, among many others, were added. Great game though! Definitely worth the download - the game doesn’t feel like you have to pay to level up quickly and there really isn’t anything hidden behind a paywall. You can level up and gather DNA quickly without purchases, however if you are crunched for time purchases would make this game move at lightning speed. Thanks for the great game, Ubisoft! Keep up all the amazing work that you all are doing!

  • So great and addicting! But...

There are definitely some things that need adjusting. Why do the characters need to be at FULL health to rush? Rushing only drops their health a small amount. The full health thing makes 0 sense and it’s incredibly annoying. You might as well pick some random characters and put the mission on “auto.”
Another thing is that there’s an issue when going from the “promote” screen to the DNA cube screen. When you click on “find DNA” and then go to the cube screen and you have a free cube waiting, you click it and you get it free. But then it STILL says “free” so you click it again, but it’s actually NOT free and you just wasted 200 helix credits. This desperately needs to be fixed and I think everyone should get a free 200 helix credits from Ubisoft for this mistake.
When it comes to the rooms:
why is the supposed “living quarters extension” NOT an extension? I’m saying, if you put it next to the other living quarters, you don’t have an option to merge them. It’s just two room next to each other. Other games like this allow you to merge the rooms!
Why do we have to wait until Brotherhood level 20 to make medicine? It seems extremely far away, especially when we have to wait until the characters are full health to rush anything.

Aside from these issues, I think the game is so fun and I think you guys did a great job. Just fix the issues and it’ll be great!

  • Too slow

Game is fun because its a puzzle game. Few problems though. It takes too long to aquire enough intel to last a day and missions cant be replayed than a certain amount and take about half to a full day to replay. Another problem is that, in order to succeed or play certain missions, you must meet requirements of the mission, but in order to meet a requirement like a tank at 480 power, you have to promote your tank to get there but the mission to get more DNA can only be played lets say 3 times in a day before the mission is “depleted”. Then you’re pretty much bored until its not depleted. Even if there was no depletion of missions, in some cases you’re not depleted but you have no intel, it takes close to half a day to collect a third of your max intel storage. Way too slow and believe me, i’ll forget this game is fun because of the fact that wait in between is too long and the play time after the long wait is too short. I literally only play this game when i wake up cuz i let the game do its thing during sleep and at night after i let the game do its thing after work. If i have a day off, this game will be boring

Hi, thank you for your feedback! We’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. We will definitely take your comments into consideration.
  • Limited gameplay, outrageous prices

Anyone with a shred of awareness will realize this app is a barebones cash-grab. Once you complete the first zone, mission stat requirements are ramped up to the point where you’re forced to either spend dozens of dollars or grind for hours just to complete one “new” mission. New is in quotes because, once you’ve experienced the first few missions, you’ve essentially experienced everything the game has to offer. It’s clear that the developers made the progression such an insane grind because the game has nothing to offer other than the same minimal gameplay loop, over and over again. I imagine anyone who spends the time or money to progress will inevitably ask themselves “why did I invest in this?” after such a hollow experience. The menu system is clunky and tedious, making me think that all the unnecessary taps are just a way the developers tried to mask the shallow gameplay. I’m not sure if this is the norm nowadays, but this game is 80% marketing, 15% clicking through menus, and 5% fun.
