  • Good but needs some changes

Firstly this is a good start for this game. Interesting missions to play that requires you to think everything through before acting. However progression is really slow. The level gating on equipment is tied to your level which is slow grind mainly do to the lack of xp sources. The main quests can stall out really fast because you need a high power level but to get a higher power level you need better equipment. Its a strange loop that takes way to long. They other major issue is that it takes 24 hours to recharge event specific energy with the only other way to get more is to spend premium currency. I do appreciate that it is separate from the main energy resource but when you can only play the event once or maybe twice a day due to slow recharge rates its kind of annoying.

The annual pass also lacks value. The speed up is a cool idea but it think it should also include helix credits or dna maybe on a daily basis. A 20% speed up really doesn't hold a $8.99 value in my eyes.

Really interested to see what path this game takes over the upcoming months.

  • Fantastic game, but.

The game is amazing it’s fun, adorable and addicting but I feel there’s tons of non popular characters. I know that this is a pretty early review about the character selection, but I’m often confused on who is who. mind me, I haven’t really played the chronicles or liberation. I know you guys at ubisoft are big trolls or rush things out at times so don’t take this like an whiny downloader review take this as an opinion; but back to the topic at hand, we need the main series characters, Edward, Jacob and Eve, Alexios and Kassandra, ETC. ETC. (Sorry if I am misspelling the names) I would love to see of those characters. Yes I am aware this game is new and still needs to add content but you already have tons of characters. if you are reading this then thank you for listen to my, uh, opinion. But seriously this game is amazing it’s not too heavy for micro transactions but the membership is a small force in my eyes. But keep up the great work ubisoft!

  • Hmmmm I think I like it

Update: well after playing for over a week have not advanced any further than lvl 8. Constant finding materials for upgrades and training only to lvl up and start with the constant finding and upgrading. This game is not a true AC game, the gameplay is geared for money making and has lost the AC feel completely. Will delete.
Okay at first I was hesitant about a side scrolling, tap, auto play, loot box AC game. Still not quite sure about it but it is done well. Hard to go forth because of slow training and health point regeneration. Although you have options for speeding these things up. I am eking forward using the auto to gather supplies for training and equipment. The graphics are a bit cute for an AC game but not minding it that much because the kill moves are awesome. Very smooth gameplay and easy to learn. I will play it for awhile and see how it goes. But yes, I think it will grow on me.

  • Greedy

So much potential, but the monetization ruins the fun. You’ll hit a hard wall in Region 2 where the power level required jumps from the 200’s to the 400’s, leaving you to grind for days or pay. If you do grind your way through it, you effectively have to out level the content, making it too easy and disappointing. Even the for-pay loot boxes can give you duplicate characters, and while you can rank up a character that is duplicated, it’s deeply unsatisfying. (I’ve had this happen with both of the two I purchased!)

The subscription is a bald-faced money grab, and what you get for the subscription isn’t even with what you pay. The game is constantly giving you ‘offers’ of dubious value, just nickel and dining you every step of the way. Seriously debating just deleting the game as I’ve yelled out loud “eff this game” too many times in under 48 hours. I’ve paid over $20 and still can’t say I’ve had anything approaching a satisfying experience. Should have just bought a full, different game. Way to ruin the franchise, Ubisoft.

  • Super fun, but a bit limited

First off, I would like to start by saying that the gameplay is awesome. I’ve had a ton of fun playing this whether I only had a few minutes or close to an hour. The gameplay is immersive, the story is interesting, and the characters are super fun to watch as they grow and level up. My only problem with the game right now is the in game currency called intel. In order to gin on any of the missions, you must spend intel. It does replenish over time, but it does so at an EXTREMELY slow rate. It takes 8 hours to generate around 50 intel, while each mission requires at least 5 intel to attempt. This means that one can only play the game for at most about 30 minutes every eight hours, and really that number is much smaller considering that the higher level missions can cost around 11 intel to attempt instead of five. Games with similar systems such as contest of champions are far more reasonable with the regeneration of energy, the equivalent of intel in that game, and if they are able to balance this problem, then I would change my rating to five stars in a heartbeat.

  • Xcom but with a LONG Wait

The game play and aspects surrounding it feel new and fresh. The strategy and what I would call gambling with percentages is fairly enjoyable. You clench a bit on percentages that are close. I like the fact that how the game play works, it makes you use different characters. The gotcha portion of the game does not feel too bad. You can grind for pieces of characters and the starting guys don’t feel awful, in part due to my previous comment. The building portion of the game feels a bit unnecessary, but it is a choice and I don’t hate it. The buildings do not have build times, which is good and the training timers/ research timers are not terrible. Where the game falls flat for me is the energy timers. I’m sitting at level 10 with 2 guys in my intel building and I get 55 energy per 7.5 hours. When level cost 11 energy that means 5 levels every 7.5 hours. So about 15-30 minutes of game play in the span. That’s a joke and what makes it more of a joke is the real world currency to buy the energy is roughly $1.50 for 50 energy. Honestly I wish I had realized this before I spent real money on this game. Overall the game portion of it is 4-5 stars, but the waiting portion is a 1 star so I averaged it to 3. Fix the BS with energy and it would be 5. Until then maybe save your cash.

Hello, we’re sorry to hear that you feel this way. Your feedback is very important to us as it allows us to improve the game based on your concerns.
  • Fund, different, super glitchy

I’ve been enjoying this game for a few days now, or more over, trying to. I enjoy the play style and the different objectives between performing missions, and maintaining and upgrading your characters, equipment and base. So far rewards and costs seem pretty well balanced so it’s not just a perpetual grind with minimal payoff. The biggest issue so far is the crashing and it’s incredible frequency. If you do anything else before a mission, tweak your characters or mess with your base, it will almost always crash. And if you go straight into a mission there’s still a 50/50 chance it will crash before you finish the level. Or is you’re lucky after the mission, so you get your loot, but before you can get back to your main screen. I like this game, it’s a different gear for Assassins franchise but fun, but until this crash is worked out I’m gonna have to give it a break for a little bit and hope the issue is resolved.

  • Good game, but huge room for improvement

The game is good, fantastic even for some. Let me just say, it might seem like I’m bashing it for being bad. But I’m not. The game starts of fine with showing you how play with it’s simplistic controls that invoke probability. ( I did notice that it seems predetermined) And after that you’re on your own for the most part. Missions are simple and have different approaches for characters and vary from info extract, to loot runs and simple assassin’s creed assassination. The characters are somewhat of a grind, but that that hard. There is a loot crate system for characters. But it’s already easy enough to get characters...so yeah. Not gonna talk about the story to not spoil it. But now let’s talk about its faults. The store is to be expected nowadays with loot crates, but it’s not game breaking. Sometimes the games in game timer glitches out and doesn’t appear, so I’m just confused when “Mission requirements not met” appear and I’m over leveled then I realize the timer isn’t there to tell me that I used up all my mission replays for that specific mission. And now to the last one, probably the elephant in this room. EXP, is a pain to get, daily’s are the only guaranteed way to get tons of it. Missions only give 100, and story missions give you 650 once. That’s the only thing in truly annoyed about, the leveling grind. That’s all I can say about the game for now, until after a few major updates.

  • Crashes and loot boxes

The game crashes every time I try to find dna for a character and multiple times entering a mission. Now it is only there second day and they can obviously patch crashes and I really hope that what happens

Loot boxes are a very controversial issue in the gaming industry and it obvious the Ubisoft is trying to make money off this game via the loot boxes. Now you may farm common or even rare character in the legacy mission but if you want that ezio or shoa jun (totally forgot how to spell there names) you better whip out your mama credit card and spend 6 dollars on 10 loot boxes that you may have a chance at getting

I’m a big assassin creed fan sense I was 10 and I really want Ubisoft to have a success mobile game but currently with the crashes and the money-sucking loot boxes that is not happening. But don’t get me wrong the game isn’t terrible the looks of the game is beautiful and the combat is fun for ME. I just hope they find a solution to the loot boxes

  • Agian with the loot boxes

I had very high hopes in assassins creed rebellion. I thought the idea of playing and training any assassin from the games was a good idea. Instead they make a poor choice by making the entire game a 2D side scroller with missions. I would have been fine with this until I saw that they have a loot box system for all their characters. People when will you learn that loot boxes for important things like unlocking characters is not a fun way to play the game. Especially when you don’t even have a 100% chance to play the character you want to play from the games. Don’t worry though you can always spend your life savings on loot boxes to get the character that you want. Oh and if you thought you get the character as soon as you find them in the loot boxes. You are wrong again; you only gain a fragment for the character. At how ever many fragments you need to unlock them (10-20) you can finally play the character you wanted to play. Loot boxes do not make a game fun, please stop using them in these types of games. I give this excuse for a game a 2 out of 10. Ubisoft really dropped the ball on this one.
