  • Piece of Crap

This app doesn’t work at all. I tried to take a photo of a professional poster and it came up as a buch of random text. Not even a 1 star.

    Developer Response

Hi. Sorry to hear that. Note that the Cloud OCR is more accurate and there's a free trial available within the app. Also, if you have a sample image to share, we can always have a look at it to see what's going on. Just send it to support@creaceed.com /TC
  • Can only read one page at a time!

I have vision problems and use this app to read long articles and book chapters. Usually they’re more than 1 page, and I have to keep repeating the photo, scan, and OCR steps for every page after it reads the page. If I want to review the page at a later time, I also have to repeat the photo, scan, and OCR steps. Developer: please note. I would be happy to give you five stars if there were a way to fix this.

  • Great for dyslexics

This is a great app. I recommend to my clients to help their children with text disabilities. I didn’t give it a 5 because I’m not tech savvy and it took me a while to use. But still love it!!!!

Thank you for the kind words, they're really appreciated. /TC

/TC
  • Good

    Great app

    Developer Response

Hello, Prizmo Go comes as a free app to let users try all the features (built-in OCR and Cloud OCR via the free trial) before buying. We have determined that a number of users preferred it that way, instead of paying first and then possibly be disappointed. If you wish to export/interact with the recognized text you indeed need to purchase the Export Pack or subscribe to the Premium Plan. /TC
  • Good idea, bad execution

It’s a really good idea, and I would recommend the app if it fulfilled its purpose. The only writing it understands is if it was typed then printed out, you can’t scan actual writing. I’ll keep if for now but I hope there’ll be a update so it can recognize nice printing or even neat cursive. 😀

Hi. Should you be disappointed by the built-in OCR's results, you can also try the Cloud OCR (free trial available within the app) which is usually more accurate for printed text. Regarding the handwriting recognition (used through Cloud OCR) please check Prizmo Go's FAQ where we provide tips on how to get a better recognition of handwritten notes: https://creaceed.com/prizmogo/faq Feel free to contact support@creaceed.com should you encounter any issues. Thanks. /TC
  • Great app with most beneficial feature

I felt amazing with the feature as soon as I realized about this app in the app store. Immediately installed and checked the functionality to mu surprise it was great and astonishing. However one drawback I have seen is the inability to recognize my handwritten text. Is this happening with my handwriting or with everyone’s?
One star out for this incompetency.

Hi. Thank you for the kind words, they are really appreciated. Handwriting recognition from an image (which is know as off-line recognition, as opposed to on-line, where the full path and timing data are available) is a very hard problem that was mostly non-working until recent advances in machine learning. In Prizmo Go, you must make sure you use the “Cloud OCR” option to process handwriting ; the built-in OCR only works with printed text. You may need to adapt your style a bit, and we noticed that we obtained better results when one writes on plain white paper (no lines). If you have written a text on several lines, please make sure that the letters from the bottom and top lines do not intertwine as it can confuse the OCR. Also, a tip is to use capital letters for proper nouns for better recognition. The technology to process handwriting is improving rapidly, and we opted to offer it as soon as possible, even though it’s really just the beginning, as it can help in certain situations. We would also appreciate if you could send us a sample image of the handwritten text you used to test the app with, it would surely help us for future testing. Just send it to support@creaceed.com. Thanks. /TC
  • Poor handwriting recognition

Disappointed. Could read none of my handwritten notes - translated into gibberish and symbols. Even a snapshot of a chart with typed out words gave one or two wrong words.

  • Doesn’t read my writing?

Seems like a lot of people like this app but when I try to scan my notes it just gives me a garbled mess nothing like what I wrote. It may just be how i write but my writing isn’t even that bad... definitely a neat concept though.
  • It does not like my handwriting

It may work better for those with legible handwriting :-) – here is the to do list it transcribed for me:

ee ee /7 Fir EP? f wt FH Frers fo a ye bs ke ja wite

    @ - Ww Awe ove Dower i) - Se lechure (2)
    Ante WN Eapotia
    (? ree €s

It did however translate it into Bosnian! Where it looked much the same

Hello. Note that the quality of the recognition can indeed vary according to the neatness of one’s handwriting. If you have written a text on several lines, please make sure that the letters from the bottom and top lines do not intertwine as it can confuse the OCR.
