Good content, buggy interface
It’s nice to have all of Chinesepod’s content available in an app, especially the ability to download lessons and listen offline. But the app had some obvious bugs. It would be good to keep updating it and improve it. I wonder if the app will ever be updated again.
app and website are a pain
content and classes are good - apps and website are really terribly unreliable - up to the point that you cant access your paid subscription from one day to the next - stay away!
also their billing via app store doesnt work - you end up having gaps in service and the support at chinesespod doesnt help you

Keeping my money hostage
I bought a premium subscription and the app thinks I didn’t. There is a button to restore my sub but it doesn’t work... this whole app is so buggy that it detracts from the good parts of ChinesePod. Don’t get me started on how bad the audio/video playback is.
Recurring payments
Trying to cancel my recurring payments was a nightmare. Do not buy a membership unless you are looking to pay for the program indefinitely.
I love chinese pod, but app needs update!
When are they going to fix this app to make it functional? I love listening to the episodes, but the app is terrible. The flash cards don’t work-the app should help me store words so I can use them as flash cards later. I pay for the full subscription, too.
Also the categories aren’t accurate-why do Newbie podcasts always start my Intermediate list of pod listenings?
It’s maddening how bad the app is and yet how valuable the content is!

Terrible customer service
Don’t believe the free refund. I’ve been trying to cancel my account and be refunded for the past 2 months. They’ve stopped responding to emails and continued charging my account through their website, after confirming that they’d canceled it.
Main issue and why I canceled was the podcasts are a little unwieldy, hard to listen to when you are going on a run or in the car and don’t have access to your phone.

Won’t return my emails regarding an account issue
They charged me for premium but won’t return my emails regarding an account issue. Awful customer service.

App has many glitches, with audio pls fix them
great content, not very usable app
I love these lessons and they’ve really helped me learn. however, the app is really glitchy. in my experience, if you pause an audio lesson (my most used resource), you can’t play it again. lots of bugs like that
