  • Lots of kinks but great content

    On the banking side, I’ve had many of the issues shared in other reviews. So, I reached out to the founder and he shared that they are working through the banking kinks and well aware of the issues.

    The content, however, is great. I think the app is beautifully designed and has good content.

    It’s a startup. It’s not a scam. They just need to do more work on the execution as well as more testing.

    When it fully rolls out, it will be amazing.

  • I want to like this

    But I'm not even able to open my account. I get the message saying my account is approved or whatever then it gives me an option to send my debit card... Then it wants me to confirm my SSN which I did and after that it wants to send a text message which I never receive to proceed. Tried reaching out to support to see if they could change the number to try another number and got left on read lol! Guess I'll wait for Greenwood

  • Don’t bother

    I tried activating my debit card by calling the number provided. It was disconnected. I tried emailing them. It was not setup. I thought this company was a fraud but I think it might just be a get poorly run company. Go anywhere else

    We apologize for the poor customer experience. During the 2020 holiday season we distributed a high volume of COVID-relief payment programs, which shut down the call center for a short period of time. We've since expanded our call center capacity. Agents are now available 7 days a week to answer any questions or resolve any issues with your MoCaFi account.
  • Terrible experience

    First thing I noticed after receiving the card in the mail is that there were 2 different phone numbers for their customer service and one of them was an incorrect number from a misprint. Second was to call the listed phone number and follow prompts to activate card and create a PIN. Calling the number takes you directly to customer service, which NOBODY answers! You have an option to press 1 to leave a message and they’ll call you back. I pressed 1 after 30 minutes, then it automatically hangs up the call LoL! I went online to try to activate the card, but after entering all of my personal information, the application will freeze when it asks you to agree to the policy and terms and you cannot go any further. Can’t do anything at this point. This is a real sloppy system and I don’t know how you can trust this company to handle your money. I would look closely at those 5 star reviews. Kind of funny to have mostly 1 Star reviews with a couple of fraudulent 5 star reviews.

  • Worst bank

    I opened the account and I can’t do nothing with it. Was told I would have to wait for the actual card to do anything. What’s the point of the virtual card then?
  • Can’t even inquire about my funds for 3 days

    Transferred funds into the account and upon making a purchase online with the virtual card, it said it didn’t work. Then it logged me out of an app that I never had to log into after signing up. Told me user not found. Changed my password, still says User Not Found. Of course it’s Saturday morning and after getting off work to call customer service...I find out they work office hours too so i can’t find out what the deal is with my transferred money for a couple more days.
    And according to the other reviews, MoCaFi still hasn’t rectified any issues from the bad reviews

  • Disappointed

    I opened a MoCaFi account after seeing an interview between shoppe black and the founder, Wole Coaxum. I transferred a little over $1000 into the account. When I tried to pay a small bill with my card, it was declined. When I called to check on it, they say the account was closed a week before the call for suspicious activity and that my money would be mailed to me in 10 business days. As far as I’m concerned, there has been no activity on the account and they didn’t notify me of the activity or that they closed the account. I’m still waiting on my money. I didn’t join out of necessity, I was trying to support black business.

  • Bad app

    I was using the app until l made transactions then when l log in again it says user not found but l was able to change password and receive newsletters from them. I sent a screenshot to customer support which hasn’t been replied until now. This app is not reliable.
  • Amazing!

    Really easy to set up and everything has been smooth thus far.

    Really wish I knew about MoCaFi earlier the content and education within the app is very relatable.

    Will def encourage my peers to use.
