Great support and equipment
I’m surprised to see ratings so low for Axis. I’ve had 2 gears for over a year now and they’ve been great. Yes once or twice the cord has popped off the cog wheel but it’s not because of the Gear itself. When I first received my Gears they wouldn’t power up. I emailed them and help desk Pranav responded within 1 hour. He told me what I needed to do and it worked. Fast forward a year and one of the beads on my chain snapped. I repaired the chain and the Gear wouldn’t power up after I put everything back together so I emailed them. Once again help desk Sappho responded within 30 min and she informed me what I had to do. It worked and now I’m back online again. In conclusion I’ve had very pleasant interactions with support and the Gear works great. The routines I scheduled work perfectly.
Perhaps Axis worked out some growing pains they had at the beginning but I feel confident that is all in the past.
Give them a try. I think you’ll be pleasantly surprised as I have been.

Amazing service
Great app great product. Installed it in my kitchen and bedroom. Took 20 min total.
Axis
Axis was working under original app. New app does not recognize my original Id requiring a complete new set up. Still does not work with Axis equipment after serious amount of wasted time … mine and support. This could be the worst app for clarity of use and functionality. Why would any company delete original app, delete original account information, rename the app and cause unnecessary confusion? This should be a MBA case study on how not to rebrand you product.

Still not strong enough for my shades.
I ordered 15 of the old version (Axis Gear) just to be disappointed that they weren’t strong enough to open my shades. I was excited to see a “new and improved” version (RYSE) just to have the same problem happen - it “skips” in the wheel that turns the chain. If they would make the cog wheel out of better quality parts, this may not be a problem. Sad to say I can’t use this one for my home either.

Very Cool Product
We love how easy and effortless it is to control our shades. When we started working from home we got quotes for thousands of dollars to replace our perfectly fine window shades. We found RYSE and hooked them up to the existing blinds. My wife has them programmed to come up in the morning and down at night. I love that when on a video meeting I can close the blinds without getting up. We originally bought two of these but for what we were quoted for new motorized blinds we can now go back and do the rest of the house.

After the latest firmware and iOS update the app and schedule runs smooth. The update does take a few minutes and with 4 devices it can take up to 15-20 minutes. But once complete it works like a charm! Beautiful design.
Looks sleek, works 5% of the time
I have the smart bridge but it has been buggy, most of the time it is disconnected and neither the app or my google home can trigger any of the simple functions (open or close). So it essentially became useless.

Okay product with the worst app
The app doesnt recognize the device’s battery, unknown 401 error all the time, cannot even use app anymore. GARBAGE.
