  • Not compatible with Alexa

    Alexa occasionally manages to open it but most of the time Alexa instruction does nothing. Group open/close not working, routines not working. Come on at this price point I expected it to at least work.
  • Misleading product

    Ryse website clearly states scheduling as a key feature. Well that’s a lie. App has no scheduling feature for the Ryse. You have to buy an addition hub for simple open and close on a set schedule. Something many other solutions have built in.
  • Videos missing?

    Many install videos are missing and blank.
  • Great product but could use a little tuning.

    Product works great. I’ve tested it in Bluetooth and zigbee (via Smarthings and Alexa) and I’ve had no issues at all. They work just as advertised and installation was simple. JUST ONE SUGGESTION: After configuring the shade It would be great to have the option to manually control how high/low the shades go in fine increments. For example, I have zebra roller shades and as much as I enjoy the Axis I’m a little disappointed that I can’t manually adjust or nudge the shades so that I can choose to block or filter light. By default the axis divides the open and closed position into 4 increments, which is practical and great but limits user control. Is there any chance of being able to manually adjust in finer increments in a future update? The function is already there because you and adjust in fine increments when you set the open and closed position. That feature should be made available outside the configuration setup as an additional option the the 4 position presets. Please make this available in the next update and I’ll be happy to re-rate at 5 stars. Thanks!

  • Clever idea & disappointing implementation

    The app itself is ok (some bugs, but nothing major like instability). That said, the physical product this app controls was a waste of money. I bought two and both are going in the trash. They consistently get out of sync with my shades, so I can’t even rely on them to do the simplest thing: raise all the way in the morning and close at night.

  • It never connects via Bluetooth.

    Never been able to connect this device. It’s been 6 months I have bought these and still using manually. It defies the purpose of buying Bluetooth only. Paid for most expensive piece of motorised blinds and not able to use the mobile feature. Quite disappointed

    Generally the product works as advertised and was very impressed by their packaging and instructions for installation. I bought two of these, and while one has worked well, I’ve had three issues with them other, that would definitely not have me rate these products 5 stars and more importantly not a very strong customer support to help me resolve this.

    1. Chain Cord Connector: The bead/chain connector pushes the back cover out every time it goes through and on several instances has either gotten disconnected or stuck
    2. Reach and Schedules: The system only works when in close reach and/or manually controlled, even when having set programmed schedules, these simply don’t function as programmed on constant basis.
    3. Integration: Even though the product was advertised as being fully smart, out of all my “smart” devices (bulbs, camera, outlets, fan, speakers), this one is the dumbest, as it is the only one that can’t be controlled by neither Apple nor Google Home.

    So considering it’s the highest price point for this solution in the market, it’s unreliable functionally, quality of the product, and the attention of the customer support, this would be a 2 out of 5.

  • Terrible product. Do not buy!

    I have 12 of these. They are beyond a terrible product. The device has endless issues. Overall design just doesn’t work. don’t buy a single one!
  • Conceptually great, software and support terrible

    Could not pair my axis, support did respond telling me they would send me a modified app to allow pairing and update, then ghosted me. It’s been over 3 months and multiple emails later so I am sure this is not a simple oversight.
  • Works for us!

    Not sure if the bad reviews are from an older software version, but we purchased this and has been working without a hitch for the last few weeks. I’ll update the review if anything changes, but so far so good. We installed it - very easy to do. We set a schedule, and it has raised and lowered the blinds perfectly. We even had a power-outage this week, and the blinds still worked on schedule!
