  • App suggestions

We recently cruised with MSC - had a great time. The app was fairly easy to navigate, you can find what you need as well as make reservations.

It needs a where to eat now feature so you know which restaurants are open without scrolling through each one.

There should also be a quick feedback feature to give staff kudos or report an issue.
  • Great when it Works

Doesn’t always work I've had to reboot my phone a bunch of times to reconnect it. Otherwise it would be great. I like the chat feature and that we can book shows and see our bill and charges right in the phone.
  • Using

The app is very simple to use once you understand it. I think it needs to be more user-friendly so that from the beginning, you can use it. It took me about three days to figure out where everything was so there should be a tutorial for the for the app. Showing you how to book shows and where the menus are for dining. I know the menus are there, but you don’t know to touch them for a full menu of what’s in the dining room. you need to know to go to the restaurants and then figure out what to do from that area
  • Check In

I hate this app. It was so difficult to check in. I still haven’t been able to add my credit card on the app. There’s always the, “Error occurred. Please try again later,” comment. I couldn’t even register an account because the register button was broken. Let me check in on the website! (But also I can’t create an account because the register button doesn’t work there either.) Hopefully the onboard experience is a lot better!
  • Mini Vacation

My first time on a cruise ship. It was short 4 days but sweet. I up graded my room & top shelf liquor.
Had to remind them of the better liquor otherwise would have gotten rack booze.
The buffet was better food than the dining room
The Bimini (Cay) beach was nice but they didn’t have cheese for the hamburger, we
Ordered drinks but the server never came with the drinks. I would suggest that when making a reservation let us tell you to split the beds ahead of time. We had to have them do it at 6:30 at night when we arrived. I would go again ship was clean and the people were very polite.
  • This app is terrible

The user interface is terrible, does not have an appealing look, and is not user friendly. The selfies taken are terrible and takes a picture either immediately after clicking “press picture”, which turns into an awful picture, or the picture just does not work. You need to add a button to take the picture when the guests want.
Another major issue is your passport scan, which again DOES NOT WORK. No one want to take a selfie on a computer camera .
After booking a cruise, this app is providing a frustrating pre-cruise experience because I can’t even book a package until I am checked in… come on , be better.
  • Full of bugs

This app is the worse. Taking a picture for check in is unnecessarily difficult as it took my wife and I 45 minutes to take ours and for some reason it’s telling me credit card is invalid but after several attempts it was accepted. We tried to scan our ID’s and they didn’t scan so we had to input the information in manually and once we get everything in the email confirmation was sent in Italian…this app needs MAJOR work!
  • Need Push Notifications for Chat

Navigation of the app is a little confusing, but it did the job overall. There needs to be push notifications for the chat feature—I wasn’t constantly checking the app to see if my family messaged me, so when they messaged me, sometimes I wouldn’t see it until hours later.
  • Checking in is a complete failure

Using the app to check in is a miserable failure. They try to automatically detect the passport (similar to banking apps do for checks), but their passport recognition algorithms are a miserable failure and just keeps scanning up and down saying to “hold the camera still”. I can only hold it still for so long waiting for the app to recognize a passport in the frame. And of course the app provides no option to manually take the darn photo, or to manually enter passport information. It’s complete garbage.

For taking the selfie image, it keeps saying the “photo isn’t sharp” but provides no way of telling the phone camera that it should be trying to focus. The app is worse than useless for checking in.
  • MSC app

    I use this app often.
It is user friendly and easy while on board.
I suggest buying the internet package while onboard.
I would love to be able to add ore than one cruise at a time, and I am sure they are on their way to doing so.
