New update isnt as user friendly.

I absolutely loved the previous layout structure and design of the shopify app. it made it super easy to locate my favourites track orders and scroll through various recommended shops making it super user friendly and was super confusing. i know its not that big of a deal but the current update has removed the favourites from the bottom and relocated it forcing you to click your profile first and then favourites. its only minor but i liked having that option when it was a little more easily accessible. Another thing with the current update is the light mode of the app. the shopify app before im not sure if it could switch between light and dark but mine lived in dark like the rest of my phone and now the app feels too bright and is almost unpleasant to use. it would be nice if they added a feature in to allow users to turn on and off dark mode, giving its users some control over the appearance, and whether it affects anyone else or not it would be nice to have that favourites button relocated back down to the bottom with the others!

Payment plan

I purchased jewelry though Eternate. I received it 10 days later which was amazing. The process was fast, the jewelry was beautiful, and the App let you track each step. I spent a little more money and was impatient to wait for pay day. After reading there was no interest on the plan, I went with the the payment plan though Shop thinking my item would ship faster. This is not the case. You can track each step of the process through the app and it says the shipping label was printed weeks ago and it’s been sitting waiting to be shipped since then. I ended up just paying it off faster hoping that will speed up the process. The tracking said it was out for delivery, but when I open the item it says preparing for shipment and it has been in this status for weeks. There are some kinks in tracking. Also, I somehow accidentally synched it w my mail, so now I keep getting alerts that my package was delivered and it’s just my mail being delivered. I’ve used shop for a while and it seemed to work efficiently before I accidentally synched my mail and now I’m getting disappointing info about the status of my delivery. I don’t know how to attach pics to show the alert saying it’s out for delivery and the next pic once I’ve selected the item that says the item is preparing for shipment.

Receiving shipping updates takes the hassle out of working out what day I need someone home to collect parcels.

Used to track better

Really disappointed with the way this app has regressed. It used to track my deliveries a lot better. I’d make an online purchase, connected it to Shop, and the order would appear, along with tracking details. The tracking used to update reliably, giving me warning when something was out for delivery, so I could make sure I was home to receive it.

Now the orders usually appear, but often don’t have tracking details. I need to add the tracking number manually. But regardless of whether tracking is added automatically or manually, it is never accurate. I don’t remember the last time it worked properly. Mostly it just marks it as preparing to send, and then never changes, or maybe it changes to delivered well after I receive it. This consistently happens with all the same carriers I used to use when the app worked fine.

It’s disappointing because the tracking feature (with update notifications) was the main reason I use Shop. Now it’s becoming less useful, to the point where I’m going to delete it.

Great product

Beware of using the correct website. Stay away from Owala official NZ website as it’s a scam site. I had to get a new credit card after using this site. The correct website Customer service is pretty bad as their contact details puts you in a never ending loop where you can’t speak to anyone and they don’t answer their emails. Very frustrating.

Birthday cake for daughter

Cake was delivered in perfect condition,very happy exact like in picture,i’m just not happy with the receptionist because when I ordered cake i have a free macaroon box but in my order when I placed didn’t show up after i call the lady i told her but she didn’t care really she said i have to do it online ,but i did online next time i will cancel the order and make the order again we always buy from this store especially we order before in Outlet village Swindon i use to order from store and eat with my family there ,now it’s close and i have first experience online ,i think cake are great but you need to work on costumer service Im really sad i didn’t receive my macaroons,i give 5 stars just for cake ,it’s stunning but 1 star for costumer service ,in any food bussines costumers need to come first and need to make happy, need improvement on costumer service and believe me you will have more and more succes :)

Got rid of dark mode, why?

Title speaks for itself, it’s almost 2025. Get your act together.

Scammed

I have now been scammed twice using this to buy stuff. I can’t find anywhere to actually talk to customer support just a stupid AI that keeps telling me to contact the shops customer service, which obviously I have tried but won’t work because they won’t answer me where my order is. I can’t believe you can’t contact a support team to tell them they have scammers selling things through their site.

Shop is a half-baked concept that doesn’t work

I feel like you need to do at marketing and integrating the shop app to shopify business owners. Most of the time it appears that the business I have ordered from hasn’t fully integrated their website with shop, bc the shipping details are not pulled through and I’m left with repeated orders at the “waiting on further details” stage long after I have received my tracking information from the business and received my order in the mail. It also feels like the shop app is just trying to do what NZ post already does extremely well. When the Shop integration is set up completely, it still notifies me of an update long after the update has actually happened, and after I have been notified of the same thing by NZ post. Shop needs a lot more work to actually be valuable to customers and vendors alike, and having worked in the digital marketing space I would never recommend shop to a business owner. It’s literally useless.

Forced to use an app that can’t do what’s needed.

Shop tells you to download the app in order to track your order. When I click search for my tracking number via email, I am told it’s the wrong account, which it is not. But because Shop haven’t provided me with a tracking number via email, forcing me to download the app, I also can’t add the tracking number manually.
Stop forcing people to download the app and just provide your customers with the information they need via email with the app as an option.
