  • SO HELPFUL!

Oh my gosh I swear this is the BEST and most efficient way to learn a new language! This program really goes in-depth helping you learn every word. This is the best place I've ever found while trying to learn a new language. The only thing I would change if I could would be if we were able to use this program for more than 5 minutes every 10 hours. I feel like having more time would definitely help the user memorize the words easier for the next time they come back. In 10 hours you kind of have to have a whole refresher to remember again. Still though, my point stands. The way this app works, not counting the time limit, is the easiest way to learn a new language.

  • I’ve enjoyed this app

I have only spent 10 minutes using the app before I was given the option to leave a review. So far, I have made it through the first 5 minutes of active use of the app; the first 5 minutes of use was given to me to use for free. At first, I was annoyed that I had to pay to use the app after only the first 5 minutes, but then I turned it into a game to just do the 5 minutes a day and leave it at that.

I played through a series of flash cards and the category was food. I felt like the vocabulary given was easy enough to learn. I felt that it could be useful for both beginners and users who have previous experience with the language.

  • Trying loads of languages

This app is great to learn words in other languages. It really helps and challenges you. I’ve already tried it in Sanish, Tagalog and now Korean.

As I’m learning a language with characters rather than western alphabet I’m trying hard to read each character. The only issue with Drops is they have the phonetics in western characters. As this helps in the beginning, towards the end I feel like I’m not looking at the Hangul but reading the western characters instead. This is also an issue when you have to spell out a word. I wish I could spell it on Hangul. If there was an option to spell out all the words in Hangul this would be more ideal than spelling out with western characters.

Other than that, it’s really good.

  • Enjoyable

This app is really brilliant. I love the colour scheme, the audio and the vocabulary. I would like there to be more sentence examples like ‘나는 노래 한다’ because I can actually use these in sentences rather than just learning the words like ‘신문’ - Would be useful to know ‘I read the newspaper’ ❤️ Other than that, I love the app. I have paid for the subscription because it was like £2.98 a month for 12 months and tbh, that’s a brilliant deal, if anything it’s too cheap 😂 Really enjoying learning new words because it gets me thinking ‘How would I use this word in a sentence I already know how to structure.’ Especially with the syntax of Korean being so different and hard to grasp in comparison to English, it’s like trying to make a equation ahaha. I love it and will try 20/30 minutes every day. Brilliant app. Do I dare say it but... This app is WAYYYY better than duolingo 😶😂

  • Easy no stress perfect

    Really enjoy able
  • amazing app

to be honest, i’ve used several apps such as duolingo (which is still an amazing app!) to attempt to learn korean, but in my opinion, this one has helped me the most. i’ve been using duolingo for a month or two now and i don’t feel very confident in the language at all. i’ve only used this app for 5 minutes as of today and i already feel as if i could recite atleast 5 words! this app’s facilities are amazing and the way of learning really helps it stick. i also struggle a lot to grasp pronunciation of korean words, but even the brief 5 minutes i’ve spent on this app have already made me feel confident in my abilities (: i absolutely recommend this app, even if you are a complete beginner.

  • Helpful, but not satisfied

I am a huge fan of BTS and lots of other kpop groups and I really wanted to learn Korean. I tried printing things off the internet and studying in a book but it was no use. Yes I could read, and yes I could write. But that was after months of practice. I decided to download an app to help me with my learning. I didn’t think that I would come this far with drops though. It is so much fun and a free five minutes a day is a bit of time I guess to review and memorise new words. There are so many activities to do with 30 languages to choose from! I use this to learn French and Turkish also. It is very fun and the voice pronunciation is extremely accurate. You can download now like me and enjoy. What I would change though, is a bit more time on the app that is free please, and maybe separate times for each language. For example, I spend 5 minutes on learning Korean, but then when I want to learn French, my five minutes is up. I would love it if there was 10 minutes because it is a bit longer, and also to have 10 minutes available for each language. I hope the developers of this app is reading this, so they can make some changes. Thank you for reading my very long review.

  • My Drops Experience

First of all, Drops is an amazing way of learning a new language. But, there is only one problem, you can only learn your language for about five minutes every ten hours! And if you want your lesson to be longer, you have to buy Premium! With Premium, you have to either pay per month, year, or even for lifetime. I’m not saying Drops is bad, I’m just saying this takes off two stars for me. Maybe the lessons could be about 15-20 minutes, every five hours. Anyway Drops is a really fun and easy way to learn any language! Right now I am learning Korean, and Drops has made it fun and pretty easy for me, because of course I am a beginner. You should buy Drops if you are patient enough. I of course am not, but I think I can manage. I just hope Drops will someday change their ways.😉🇰🇷😊

  • Brilliant for beginners

I cannot tell you how many apps/websites I have used to help learn Korean, but this app has honestly saved me. Provides different ways of learning with decent amount of repetition to help engrain words into your memory. It shows you a library of all the categories and words you have already learnt as well as your progress with each individual word.

I would recommend paying for the full package as 5 minutes a day is quite restricted but paying is definitely worth it. It’s affordable if you spend enough time learning like I do.

The word dojo for the harder words is something I haven’t seen before and it’s incredible. It really helps with the more difficult words and phrases and definitely needed more towards the end of categories.

Something I would like to see is little tests after you learn so many words or at least an option to do so to help see your progress despite all the accuracy and progress they already show. Tests are not needed but I personally enjoy a little rest every so often.

  • 정말 행복!

안녕하세요! I have been using this app to learn Korean for over a year now, and this app makes learning a language so comprehensible. You don’t even realize how easily you are learning the words, and the methods are fun and simple to follow. I have really picked up on the language thanks to quite a bit of help from this app.

Some things I would suggest though, is for those who are really trying to learn to speak the language, there is only really vocabulary words and how to word certain verbs on here, and I would like to see maybe some teachings on how to conjugate verbs and sentence structure. I had to do a lot of alternative research to really learn to speak the language correctly. I don’t know if there is something for that in the intermediate section because I’m only halfway done with beginner, but I definitely think it would help. I would also really like to see some sections that cover slang words and honorifics, because I think the latter is very important to learn if you plan to travel and use the language in the country or with actual Korean people. Otherwise, it’s very fun to use and I always look forward to doing my lesson at the end of my day. 정말 행복.... Very happy! 감사합니다!
