  • SIM registration doesn’t work for international numbers

    Unable to register my mobile SIM. I keep getting Technical error. Yes, I have tried multiple times over the past 6 months, so please don’t tell me to try again some time :)

    I think the problem lies in your inability to send SMS response to an international number. Can you please check if you have a +1 before the US phone number? I am able to get OTP on my IPHONE US number using online banking web app but the mobile version is making a mistake in responding to my SMS for international numbers.

    Please give it a try. Hopefully it will put an end to the misery of international customers.

  • World’s most unreliable banking application

    I am a loyal SBI customer for years. As an Indian , you depend on SBI for them being the largest public bank. But SBI clearly doesn’t need you- atleast their actions reflect so.

    Yono and SBI’s internet banking are one of the most unstable and unreliable banking applications that I have seen my life (having used to other Indian and international banks).

    The most common victim is the OTP. It will work when it feels like. As an NRI, I have been in hot water many times when I had to make a payment urgently and the OTP wont come through.

    The SBI technical team seems to take as long as they please to fix the issue. The KPI’s like fixing the issue in minutes or hours isn’t applicable here. You are looking at days or weeks to sort out issues.

    All said, you need SBI and SBI doesn’t need you! That’s the essence of it!

  • Torture in terms of security

    Would give 0 rating for user friendliness. Who want to give multiple otps to complete a transaction? Why do you need the registered sim to be in the handset for registration?. You should have a look on other bank apps to understand how user friendly they are. Eg. Commonwealth Bank

The existing user also needs to do one time registration for SIM having registered mobile number. Please complete it at the earliest to enable this security feature on your device.
  • YONO is you don’t need one

    After upgrade I could not reregister which was mandatory. After 50 secs it times out with a message SB001 Technical Error, please try later. I got fed up. Raised complaints through internet banking, called their helpline and standard response to upgrade the app. Tried to explain the issues again and gave up. I met the branch manager in person and all promises to get it fixed went through the drain (I knew he could not due to the bureaucracy). Finally, I moved my money to another bank which gave me better access to my information and money. It is frustrating to see their branch has this quote on the wall but behaving exactly opposite. Hope someone listens to this feedback.

  • Please, update the UX of the app

    Hello folks. This is a great bank. Please keep up with at least national Govt. standards. The Indian Gov apps are much better quality and UX is simple, yet elegant. You need to update it.

    Many functional things need improvement. Just throw money and hire better Data professionals, UX professionals and get it done.

    Once password changed, it’s unclear if you still need to change password. The buttons are pushed down on iPhones with Face ID and hard to click. Enable Face ID support. Asking too many OTPs for same processes.

    UPI is so faster based on just phone number and bank link. In your case, SBI has access to both Phone, Bank, and many things. Still you need so many OTPs. Come on! Scale up.

    Make a native iOS app either using React Native, Next, or other frameworks. The app is also HTML hybrid and poorly done.

    Doesn’t feel like this app belongs to a great bank called SBI. 🤷🏻‍♂️

  • Useless App and Customer Service

    I have recently open current account, I downloaded YONO app and it’s very pathetic and worst design app. I am not able to login with my details in this app and I called customer care but no proper solution. When application not designed and work properly then why they released such applications? At least looks at Axis Or Citi or HDFC they provide better service from digital products and customer care services. Hire some best product designers and Engineers

  • App not working

    Suddenly I cannot login in to the app. It’s giving me two options- new login or already registered. When I click on already registered it’s take me to text message with link. When send the text it’s taking me back to app and it’s 150 countdown. Before countdown finishes error message appears. This is going on for last few weeks. Hope someone can help me on this. Thanks

  • Still Living in 1990s when the world has gone full digital

    Not only this but None of the SBI products are good. They still live in the old era. Anything you want customer care asks to visit branch. Other branch says goto home branch. Even your own phone number or address you cannot change. So stupid…

    I went to bank and asked multiple time to check my number and that lady over counter said your number is correct. Still when I am trying to register it’s saying no account found with the selected number in sim. When I showed her she said and common for all SBI employees will say that because they are non-tech people “Server Issue” while their servers are maintained by TCS in multiple locations. They should get trained properly before getting job in a bank.

  • Not for NRIs

    After this new security feature of sending a text to an Indian phone number, I can’t verify myself. Hey who has international text now a days? Security that excludes NRIs, Makes me use other banks. Fantastic feature SBI

    Update - SBI sent email saying they will try to figure out something around 3 months back and still I can’t use this app. A truly govt app run by babus for some ones sake.
